Then Atlas is doing some jokes..i had 2015 aspire and it had 5w-30.. engine and car is same since 2009.. anyways 0w-20 won't do any damage initially.

Mostly some grades vary according to market as well. Do whatever you feel satisfied with. Just nake sure to replace timely.

Atlas just needs to sell 0w -20.. i have kept city 2009 and then again bought in 2015. 5w-30 worked beautifully till 180k on 2009 variant. We all need to understand, engine was launched in 2009 city. Now if its... 2030 and honda still sells same city model..and grade is 0w-8 .. should we start using that

yes a couple of jokes change air filter 30k km but in reality not lasts till 10k km
oil reduction 1iters after every 1k kms
oil change 3 months but in reality 6 months

Honda recommends 0W20 for city 2018 onwards. You can verify from their site as well. If you select city 2018 or above it' show 0W20 oil. I think you can switch to 0W20 in any model if it is driven less than 50K.

If you are using 0w-20 and Atlas Honda are themselves pouring it, then no need to worry. GOD Forbid, if anything bad happens with the engine due to 0w-20 engine oil grade (which is highly unlikely), then they will be responsible, and handle and manage warranty issues themselves.

I personally think, 5w-30 is a very well engine oil grade for Honda City, and one may use it, however, if everything is in the hands of dealerships, and they are poring in 0w-20, the vehicle is under warranty, then let them be responsible for everything.

I am not saying 0w-20 is bad. 0w-20 (5w-20) 5w-30, even 10w-30 would suffice, still, my personal vote would be for 5w-30!

people in the world are even pouring 0w20 in 2nzfe yaris which is same engine being used in 1.3 corolla here. Toyota recommends it so if today toyota Pakistan starts recommending it for corolla 1.3 we ll say that why they are recommending 0w20 for a decade old engine

I have been using 0w20 from past 2 years in city 1.5 and it is absolutely fine. I even dragged the one oil change interval to 8000 and the oil was still fine. What has changed in from past is the availability of 0w20 by honda atlas.

operating temp of engine is 212 farenheit and 30 means oil will act like 30 at 212 farenheit
