Yes vitz does not like any other grade.

Brother what do u suggest regarding use of 0w20 in corolla 1.3 with 2nzfe. Mostly use this car for long route only on motorway and highway. Currently on 5w30. Is it safe to pour in 0w20 in it?

after 3200kms, changed it as the dealership had advised me to do so, they said to change it on 3000kms

and Fatiha for that dealership, which suggests to replace fully synthetic engine oil after 3,000 Kms.

switched to havoline 10w30 now for the next 5000kms. Poured 3.25 litres last night.

OK Dear, I get it. Again, I would reiterate that if its easily feasible and possible, then drain out the excess engine oil, else if, no need to worry.

Just take care of it from the next time, and do not overfill in any case.

Keep an eye on the level of engine oil on dipstick. If it drops, simply top it up.

As far as I think, the recommended engine oil grades for 2007 model Vitz would be 0w-20, 5w-20, 5w-30, or even 10w-30.

And... these are independent of mileage.

IMO, from next oil change, 1st switch to and try 10w-40 fully synthetic engine oil by ZIC.

If it works fine, and you do not observe any issues, like oil consumption or smoke from the exhaust, then from next oil change, switch to and try 10w-30 mineral engine oil by Caltex / Havoline.

Just ensure that oil is 100% authentic, and always change oil + oil filter after every 5,000 Kms / 06 months, whichever comes 1st.

If oil level drops in-between, simply top it up.

And in your particular case; I won't suggest to go below 10w-30 in any case. 10w-40 still better.

If you wanna try 5w-30, try at your own risk.

What's the difference between 10W30 and 5W30? Why should not I go for 5W30 as viscosity at lower temp is not an issue in Pakistan and higher temp is same for both 10W30 and 5W30. Also 5W30 is fully synthetic and 10W30 is mineral oil.

Well... Its not that simple, and not that true. Details coming below:

In layman terms, and in actual too, 10w-30 is slightly thicker than 5w-30.

Its kinematic viscosity at 40 and 100 degree Celsius is more than that of 5w-30.

Technically, 5w-30 and 10w-30 should have the same viscosity when engine is running at optimum engine temperature, and also corresponding to Grade "30", however, in actual, its not, and 10w-30 behaves slightly thicker compared to 5w-30.

Again, technically, 5w VS 10w should only matter in cold start ups. No doubt, its true, but additionally, other things matter too.

Agreed, but IMO, priorities are as follows:

1. Grade is the most important thing
2. 2nd most important is the brand, offering that grade, i.e. availability
3. Lastly comes its composition (fully synthetic, synthetic blend, semi synthetic, mineral, etc.)

5w-30 is easily available, in fully synthetic, from many reputed brands, however, when it comes to 10w-30, very less reputed brands are there which offer it locally, Caltex / Havoline being one of them.

You might be able to find 10w-30 from many brands here locally, but they might be not so famous and well renowned.

So why go for them? and not go for reputed brand like Caltex / Havoline, which despite offering 10w-30 in mineral oil, but still worth going being renowned and International?

NOPE. Not at all. Its not compulsory!

Just simple engine oil drain would suffice, however, ensure that engine + oil is sufficiently warm, and at optimum working temperature.

Sometimes engine flush can bring goodness, or at max. Stay Neutral, however, in some cases, it can also bring harm than goodness, especially in case of old engines.

Using engine flush, especially in old engines, can result in leakages from the engine. So, in your particular case, I would sincerely suggest to avoid go for any such thing.

Its fine for that alto model it inly takes 3L with filter so its neither underfill nor overfill
