Better to get car serviced from showroom or from local mechanic?

I don't have too much experience with servicing but since I drive my own car now, I have to keep these things in mind.
For the past 3-4 times I have been going to the local "trusted" mechanic near me for oil change & general service.

However, I have noticed they are unable to diagnose some things in my car (Suzuki Cultus 2015) such as the accelerator getting stuck at certain lengths & timing belt noise. They "fix" it but issues come back in a few days.

People have recommended I go to the showroom to get my car serviced. But some other people are telling me "Wo kaam nikaaltay hain" and "Ziada charge kartay hain".

Want to know the reality from people that are more experienced. I'm certain showroom people should have more knowledge about the car and how to diagnose issues & do general service.

no doubt .. Showroom charges higher but i will recommend you.. the best one .. i found is Naseer autos.. i think u must visit them at least once! they are good.

Local mechanics r much much better than showroom mechanics for old cars. My personal experience showroom mechanics mostly deal new cars therefore they dont know much abt issues. Mostly they r unable to diagnose complicated issues. Showroom just replace with new parts if they come to know issue. Local mechanics r ustad just like any government hospital doctors who see hundreds of patients everyday as compared to private doctors. New cars yes showroom only and old cars local mechanics.
