Meanwhile, fog lights lie in the trunk waiting to be installed
Light sand storm
First inter city travel to Dubai. Parked in Umm Al Quwain at this point.
Cleaned the back of the car
Took out the lights to clean them
Work perfected
1993 date of the sticker, if you guys can see
Inside the glove compartment, theres this power outlet that charges a torch that comes with the car. Unfortunately it is missing from the car. I ll probably order one online soon
Also found this thing inside the compartment. Its the dome light for glove compartment and has built in mechanism for turning on or off. The black plastic part on the right is pushed inside by the metal bracket of the glove box door and this breaks the circuit to shud the light down. I cleaned it and reinstalled it
But it wasn't a simple installation. I had to take apart the whole thing due to a stuck locking mechanism.
Used WD40 to clean the spring and it went back to working perfectly
Annddd... Taa daaa..
So, i did a close inspection of the tires and noted that while there was plenty of tread left on them, there were hairline cracks visible inside the groves. Tires being my favorite car part, i wanted to buy new ones anyways
The old ones were made in 33rd week of 2013. They were not too old but you can clearly see the small tears along the curvature of the rims.
And inside the groves as well.
I chose Zeetex brand of tires. For 2 3 major reasons. Firstly, I didn't want to spend too much buying yokohamas (my first choice) as i was not sure if i ll even keep the car for long or not.2ndly, i did excessive research and found that zeetex has some really nice reviews despite being an affordable brand. The company is based in UAE and manufactures in China but the quality is certainly better then all the Chinese tires i ve seen so far
