Toyota qualis, mahindra scorpio and tata indica, were the cars rulling indian roads other then big cities. But now adays every beauties can also be seen in every cities even in kehra also.

Yup... As my relatives lives in Karnataka near to bangaluru. And from khi the flight arrives only to mumbai... Then cant afford more flying tickets, so have to travel through train and vrl all the way to there and also enjoy the views of greenery all the way. Especially, The clouds in khandala and traffic in pune...!

I went to check out the new 1 series (India) at my local BMW dealer this morning where the display vehicle was a red 118d Sport Plus. I'll have to pop in to different dealers uptown if I want to see a blue example...

Sadly, the much more appealing 2-door version of the 1 series is not sold in the Indian market

FYI, On-road prices for the 1 series in Bombay city (MH 01) start at INR 2,561,682 (for the base 116i). The range topping 118i Sport Plus costs INR 3,710,632.

This one's rump is a lot like (and dare I say it) the VW Polo's, and a helluva lot more conservative than its competitor, the Mercedes Benz A Klasse...

Yes, enough of this 4-door fixation. Let's take my case as an example. The backseat of my VW Polo is used maybe once in 3 months, and I almost never use the little slicker on airport trips. Having two extra doors is a complete waste of space without serving any real function. I'm sure there's a market in this country for car buyers who are looking for two-door hot hatches for everyday intra-urban running. Bring in the Scirroco

Although you both are correct that a rear seat may not be used often, having one to use if and when needed only enhances the utility of a vehicle. That is why people prefer to have one rather than not.
