Bought a 2.0D 2007 - Need help maintaining it

Hi guys,

So I've got my first ever diesel car and would like your help in keeping this vehicle in the best of conditions.

So it's my uncle's car, he's the first owner and the car has done 100,400 KMs to date. It's pretty low for a 2007 but my uncle lives in the US and comes to Pak only twice a year and that's the only time this car was ever used in the last 11 years. The car throws minimum black smoke that too when accelerating hard.

First things I've done are got it tuned and had it detailed and cleaned. Going forward I plan to change the oil and filters, any recommendations for which oil brand should I use?

Need expert help on how to maintain this as I've never kept a diesel car before.

You should stick with Toyota's Recommended one

Thanks brother, yes its rarely driven and like I said it was my uncle's car (my taya), I've known the complete history of it since day 1.

Also, I'm not entirely sure what oil does the company recommend for these, or should I just take it to Toyota and let them sort out oil changes?

Delo Gold Ultra , change it after 3000 to 3500kms interval.

Use Delo Gold Ultra 15W40 and Toyota Genuine filters with Toyota Genuine Long Life Coolant. Ensure engine runs at optimum temperature.

I think it's normal 2.0D not 2.0D saloon but car is in immaculate condition

Use Toyota patron 20w50 5.25 L. And Guard filter

I am using it for 5 years and usual change interval is 2500 in summer and in winter after 3000km. Get its coolant checked.if required change it.

Get breaks service done.. genuine break pad will cost you 5000 per set on an avg but it will be very good
