Good luck and use liquimoly diesel purge. It's really effective and gives Amazing results. I have used it in many 2.0d's and nissan cd20.. Improved the black smoke and response along with economy.

So reporting back on the fuel average, I refilled after using around a quarter tank of fuel and the average calculator app tells me the car is doing 14kmpl.

I think the average is a little low at the moment but the 250kms I drove the car also included a trip to highland country club and some rough driving as well.

What should be the ideal fuel average of this car? Does anybody have an idea? Any suggestions on increasing the fuel economy will be highly appreciated too. Thanks.

First of all, Congrats on ride. Diesel Corollas normally run for 100,000 km without any major tuneups. Timing belt requires to be changed after every 100,000 km. So go for it if not done uptil now. Fuel filter is very important. Change after every 5000~10000 km depending on manufacturer. Always use genuine air filter as local ones are not of good quality. I kept 6~7 diesel corollas in the past and nowadays. Best oil is Caltex Delo Gold Ultra. remember that oil qty is 5.1 ltr for this model. I change every 3000 km.
Diesel purge is available on Liquimoly outlets. I buy it from I-8 Markaz. For detail, search thread on pakwheels. U will find detail with pics from my posts. Rest, enjoy the ride. Regards

And fuel average on long is 17-18 km/l. Within city comes approx 14.5~15.5.

The timing belt is changed along with the fuel filter. Oil change and oil+air filter change is due in 500km so that's next!

Should I use diesel injector cleaner for this?

I think it is near to meezan bank (probably backside of meezan bank) in I8 markaz. You can use injector cleaner, but diesel purge is more effective for decreasing black smoke. Take half litre of it and mix in half litre of diesel. U will have to go to some good mechanic and tell him to use this mixture on inlet and outlet of injection pump. Start the engine and this mixture will consume in approx one hour in stand still condition.

The car is Islamabad Registered? I suggest to get the RPM meter for this car.

Its a very very nice car and best color of Corolla. Love it to bits.

I had a similar one too so you can discuss if any help is needed. Also i used to pour liqui moly "NO SMOKE" in the fuel tank and it would make it to have better pick up and milage.

Its a sweet ride.
