BREAKING ! Civic X Makes It's Japan Debut!

Absolutely fantastic news for all Civic X lovers and prospective buyers. Honda Japan has just announced the launch of 2017 Civic X lineup for their local market at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2017 due to go on sales in June 2017.

Now, this is a big news specially for those people who despite liking the Civic X presence, shape and engine were very hesitant with the purchase due to so many quality issues and stripping of features by our dear Atlas. Surely these problems will not be an issue anymore in JDM spec Civic X

It gets even better. Alongside the sedan turbo variant (174bhp, 162 N.m torque) the hot hatchback variant will also be launched with the Sports trim having 180bhp and 176 N.m of torque with excellent performance and 0-100 time in 6.5-6.8 sec range.

And last but definitely not the least, Manual transmission will be there along with optional CVT for all variants. Many driving lovers have complained of no Manual option in turbo civic here locally.

Pricing is yet to be announced but even if zero meter JDM Civic X is 5-7 lac more to import than what Atlas is offering, I would say that would be great buy and this difference in price will be more than justified when difference in quality, features and manufacturing standards will be taken into account. The already very strong presence of Civic locally will also eliminate the nuisance of spares and maintenance which is always a point of concern with majority of imported vehicles.

All in all, personally I feel this definitely will become one of the best JDM potential vehicle for our market in 3-4 million range (worth noting that Vezel has already set records for any JDM import in this price bracket in past 2 years. Maybe a new model of Vezel due in 2018 might become a challenger at some stage. I have my sights firmly set on the Hatch Sports trim

that good news for Japanese after long time they are getting civic back in production, although they have skipped 9th gen. If we are going to order jdm civic 1.5T, it will be 4-4.5m range due to duty but it will come down if u r ordering it in 2018/19.

Oh yes. 2011 hybrid reborn was the last time Japanese got a taste of their most beloved Civic badge. And yes 2018 onwards due to depreciation factor the costing will only get better for us
Although the sports hatch with 180bhp and 0-100 between 6.5-6.8 sec would even make sense at 4 million mark for zero meter since civic hatchback has more luggage space than its sedan counterpart

Launch of civic x in japan Is indeed a big news but If japan launch the 1.0 turbo or 1.5 hybrid engine then only i see it beating the pkdm civic otherwise we will need to wait till 2019 for it to hit our market in large numbers. Coz i dont see many people buying a civic after spend about 4.8million. Alot of other good cars are available at this price.
As i see there is high probability to see the jdm civic with 1.5hybrid. Which would be costing arround 4million.

i hope they bring civic 1.5 hybrid with same engine as honda vezel hybrid 150hp not as honda grace/fit hybrid 1.5 engine, it wud be best model in hybrid n shud be less price than Vezel hybrid.

No 1.0L and no hybrid for jdm civic. They've made it clear that they're sticking with 1.5 turbo. Considering the anticipated prices, costing for almost zero meter sedan/hatchback would be somewhere between 4.0-4.2 in first quarter of 2018. That means paying 1 million more than top of the line pkdm turbo. Will optional manual tranny, led headlights, countless extra features like Honda sensing, jdm manufacturing standards, extra 6 bhp & 14 N.m of torque and option of hatchback justify this 1 million on top will depend on personal perceptions and preferences I mean in zero meter foreign vehicles in this range it's 1.1.2 A3 or Civic turbo with 180bhp by the end of this year for us. Although I can't deny the fact that in 2019 below 3.5 million range is when most imports are likely to happen

Bro fit grace and vezel all have same engines but the compression ratio for vezel is 11.5 which produces 132hp and grace is 13.5 thus it generates 110hp without the electric motor.
Grace and fit are detunned for better fuel consumption.
So i think its only about the tunning.

I know both are L15B dohc, same engine as turbo civic but turbo civic is 10.6 cr with turbo/intercooler....i was differing vezel n fit/grace engine due to power and gearbox.

Imagine civic hybrid with vezel 1.5 hybrid with dct wud be almost quick as turbo civic and give 18km/l fuel average. It wud be best seller in hybrid sedan.

Sir if only 1.5T is launched then it will be really hard for it to make it to our market. Coz duty only for 1500cc jdm after full 12 months depreciation is 1.8 million + 2.5 million aprox price from auction = 4.3million thats the cost even you buy at the end of 2018.
And if you buy a brand new one in first quarter of 2018 you need to pay more then 2million custom duty + 3million auction price for a full spec one which takes the cost to 5million.

Highly doubt 3 million buying for 2017 5A or S grade at auctions. Vezel RS zero buying is below 2.4 million yen. Also, March 2018 onward, duty will fall below 2 mill as well. So costing won't cross 4.2 from March 2018. But I do agree, 2019 onward will see maximum imports. Initially only few civic enthusiasts will go for her

Full spec Jdm civic was priced at about 2800000 yen in 2008 when its prodcution was stopped and at present RS jade with same earth dream engine but without turbo is for 2500000 yen. And also I assume civic and jade should share same chasis as body size dimensions are similar.
Civic x being a hit all over the world and having more power and the latest goodies, we should expect it to be priced higher then jade. So it could be priced near about 3million.
After the official launch of civic and as it hits auction houses the first few months it would be selling at company invoice prices and by next year we will see a decline in auction price of about 100 or 150k.
So i dont see a S grade full spec car to be costing less then 4.5million even mid of 2018. And whoever decides to get one would want a full spec car. As a stripped car is already available hear at a cheaper price.

After 3 months of launch every jdm sells at auctions in S grade for quite less than company invoice. 4-6 lac yen difference can easily be expected in Civic IMHO bro Also Hybrids are more expensive than Turbo as the setup adds to the cost. RS jade does have a turbocharged engine. So, March 2018 onward, a 2017 Civic X in S grade in about 2.2 million yen and a 5A grade about 5K driven in l.9 Mill yen can easily be expected.
Regardless bro, even in 4.5 million PKR in foreign vehicles as I said earlier we here will be having only 2 options in zero meter. 1.2 A3 and 1.5T civic with 180BHP and hatchback manual option. I know where ill be going with my money if I have to make a choice between these two

Hybrid will always be expensive compare to non-hybrid cars, like for e.g Honda Jade RS 1.5T and Jade hybrid but wen it come to Pakistan hybrid cars will cheaper than the non-hybrid car models. I hope civic x hybrid 1.5 will be same price or less than vezel hybrid.

Bro According to dr sahab hybrid civic is not coming to japan.
And If in case a hybrid civic is launched then it will surely be priced more then vezel coz curently jade hybrid is for about 2.9 million yen so you can easily expect civic hybrid to be priced even higher.

buddy, read my previous posts i wrote "if" and "imagine".....never said its going to come in hybrid....hope tht clear to u and i wish civic hybrid will be come later after the civic 1.5T launch in Japan.....as we all know Japanese always favor for hybrid engines
