Is it original jimny or body changed on SJ410? And where is it registered?

If it's body changed, then pls first get it cleared from the customs as in the last two months, in Multan, Bahawalpur, Lahore and Islamabad area they have seized more than 700 jimny's on charge of non custom paid bidies. I am in process of paying the duty of my confiscated jimny.

How much they are going to charge you ? and by the way do u have any idea .i.e. criteria of imposing fine , what do the take into consideration , like engine displacement , year of manufacturing or just the accessories ?

Here in Multan - there is no criteria of custom guys - every Jimny which body is replaced and not looks like as it was made in Pakistan is being confiscated, and its in dozens parked in custom office courtyard.

I have heard that they are asking for payment of 150k per body in lieu of custom duty.

Now we hardly see any Japanese jimny on road in Multan.

if someone pulled them in court - the dont stand a chance, the vehicle classification in registration is done by

1 year of manufacture
2 body style
3 chassis no.
4 engine no.

There is no body no. or VIN in Pakistan, they cannot confiscate anything under any sort of law.

The vehicles are body over frame (chassis), and them not putting that in the registration system means that the body is replaceable item. Pakistan customs as corrupt as they are will do anything to make some nice RISHWAT for themselves.

I have decided to go to court. I have few cases where people got relief from High court, supreme court and appelete tribunal. after eid I am filing a case against them. if anybody knows a good lawyer handling cases related to excise or customs do let me know. If anybody has any material related to body change cases decision do forward me.

i have also seen custom official roaming in cars in islamabad to hunt down ncp cars 4x4 they were checking imported cars,i dont know as per law no vehicle can be checked till the time no crime or traffic rule is voilated
by rules traffic police can only demand driving liecense
registration can only be demanded by minimum a migesterate for verification since police / custom official have created own rules
