since 1200 kms after change of block welch plug behind fly wheel the coolant loss was slow but persistent., surely worried but unable to spare time for hunting culprit. Twice a week in morning have to level off empty expansion tank. a 6 liter water bottle was in trunk just incase.
This afternoon by chance just by chance stopped by for a waving gentleman on OFF-Highway wet dirt track which had rain monday evening a Suzuki Jimny 660 hood popped. he was waiting for help since 90 minutes with cabin blower running did not wanted to leave occupants alone The top radiator hose pipe was busted and needed assistance in no cell coverage area. quiet scared rural person with a burqa clad wife, a hijab wearing grown up girl & 2 little kids asked me for help, if i can take them to highway or can help fix the car, - offered my help as i can do both, let me try. Gave them my drinking water flask., since engine was just warm removed the hose pipe, multi layer bandaged it with the 'NITTO TAPE'. reclipped the hose topped up the radiator with my reserve bottle. .
he tried to crank the engine and battery was almost dead. i got jump start cables from the trunk, started engine left it idling, popped the hood to connect battery cables.
here starts my story.
- under the hood that mo%$@#ka cabin heater hose at head side tube was leaking coolant like baby pamper oozing green diarrhea visible trace was there.
connected cables and the jimny started, no temp rise guy shook hands and his family was thank ful, i said thank you for stopping me it has solved my problem too.
best part is ... i forgot to ask back my water flask
