These rear struts are not from this car.

The tail light mountings rusting out are due to bad/missing rubber seals around them. I prefer butyl ribbon to seal them. It remains watertight forever. I also dont see sunroof drain spouts on the rear - infact no hole either. What happened to them?
The rusting you see on the side panels under the doors are due to rusting from inside out. Water/crap enters from either the rear wheel housing due to missing round rubbers or from the front driver A pillar due to the sunroof drain spout clogging or dislodging, That drain tube has a Y pipe near the accelerator pedal and joins the power antenna motor drain tube so it can drain water outside the car.
If that gets dislodged or breaks - water will enter the cabin and cause bad smells, rot the carpet, damage some wiring, rust the floors and eventually go to those side panels and rust those out too.
The only way to access that sunroof drain tube, the Y pipe and the antenna motor along with its drain is to remove the dashboard completely (its quite easy on this car)
