i have been wanting to restore my EK for a long time now..... it doesnt even need that much work since the car is still fully original. just need rust repair and denting...
I'm really fussy about clips so I bought a box of assorted clips from AliExpress and have also sourced a few different ones locally as well. Most of the times when I spot one missing I do have a readily available replacement one that fits.
The trunk was in a pretty BAD shape since there was no carpeting and the unpainted panels were all exposed which made it look worse, so I obviously had to get that done.
The first piece on the left panel goes in, along with chacha 🥲
The luggage board will be made out of this
Work in progress
Looks so good, finally.Alhumdulilah
This picture is just to tell y'all that this thread is about to get spammed with over 100 pictures since the car finally got detailed and ceramic coated.
They had to start from the interior first so I thought of taking some detailed pictures before they get started to keep a track of how efficiently they're working on the car.
Took my DSLR along to take some high quality picturesEnjoy
The guy started with cleaning the door cards with a brand new 3M scrubbing foam to get rid of the dirt.
THE EXTERIOR Didn't wash it for a week so that the results of the detailing are more evident.
THE INTERIOR - PART IIAfter scrubbing off the dirt from the door panels, the next step was to remove the seats in order to take out the plastic trims and the carpet for a better coverage to detail.

I reckon that I didn't upload a picture of the insulation sheet I used on the car's flooring, so here it is.
