I had to pay PKR 4,000 freight for shipping to Pakistan and despite the fact of mentioning them as "Gift" in invoice, I still had to pay another PKR 2,600 to customs. But then again if more products are consolidated then it might be a good deal I think. Any comments?

To be on a safe side you can say 1 to 2 weeks including custom clearance... With DHL/FEDEX/UPS you will have to pay whatever they invoice you.... If shipped by airmail, the item will be delivered by Pakistan Post. Delivery for this varies depending on Pakistan post! It can take 1 week to 2 months! If there is any custom duty + taxes you will have to pay them to the post man (small amount) and for big amount you will probably have to visit the post office from where you might be able to get a discount depending how good you are at talking!

But, lets get back to your question. ViaBox will email you once they receive your item/s. Then you will be able to reship them to your address. They will also present multiple shipping carriers and options, along with costs.

You can choose one option and pay for it, and then let them ship it to you. You can also wait for upto 90 days, if you want to consolidate with other parcels. ViaBox will keep it safely with them for free upto 90 days,and afterwards they start charging some money for the stored parcel. They also keep sending you reminder emails, if you donot immediately ship your parcels. So no chance of forgetting your items with them.

As per the mentioned costs, where did you get these from? Tnt website or somewhere else? For ViaBox charges, wait for them to receive it, so their costs will appear on your system.

Ok. The calculator is not 100% accurate, because you need to take weight as well as dimensions in account. The dimensions of the packing are unknown to you they are delivered to ViaBox. Only then a 100% quote can be received.

For now this amount should be considered only an estimate. Regarding custom duties, you will have pay tax for Pakistan Govt, if they apply any duties when you items reach Pakistan. For now there is only shipping charges to pay.

If you use Stackry, they also have an option to repack to reduce dimensional weight and thus shipping charges for $5

if you chose a private courier service like Fedex, TnT DHL....then custom duty is paid on your behalf. and they provide you with the invoice.(which you have to pay)
So custom clearances are all done by them.

It is DHL they have also send me tracking number which will be trackable after 24 to 48 hours.

@bym007 actually ships to saudia where there is no custom duty :D.

but using viabox and shipping to pak was a bold move. since i dont think anyone has tried it for shipping to pak.
to prevent custom duty shocks:P i know a guy who imports. from usa to pak. he gives you a quote including all charges so you dont have to worry about anything. :).

i hope your experience turns out to be good !!.

I ordered a few items on 27th November and they started shipping on 1st Dec. Amazon for some reason decided to split them in 3 parcels, and shipped 2 of them using Aramex and one using i-parcel. The parcels on Aramex arrived today, and the last one is still somewhere. The one we are most waiting for...
