By road from karachi to skardu/desoi/fairy meadows

Dear. Pak wheelers,
Planning for a road trip from karachi to skardu in july 2017 with two adults and two kids in honda city.
I have already been to naran from karachi by road more than 4 times need advice post naran.will leave balakot in 6 morning.
1. Suitable route from naran.
2. Where to stay i.e without pre booking from balakot onwards and back to balakot if possible any idea of per night stay cost.
3. No plan for how to manage fairy meadows with desoi and skardu. Pls. Advice with where to station. stays and routes.
4.Road condition for honda city.
5.where 4* 4 needed and till where. Expected cost of 4*4

I have total 12 days for the trip.

Appreciate advice to finalize my plan.

There is only one route whichbetween naran and skaru+ you can do FM track on either way+ there are plenty of hotels of all ranks in skardu so you have a choice+skardu road is a bit tricky for new drivers but manageable

It would be quite hectic to reach skardu from naran without a night stopover either in jaglot or gilgit (I recommend gilgit). I have a plan to visit deosai in july alone but I need a company of guys to share jeep fare for skardu. Hopefully meet up with you in skardu.

What shall be route from chillas where i can cover skardu desoi and fairy meadows with stay points. From to where by car/jeep?

You have to on hire a jeep at raikot bridge which is ahead of chilas about 50 to 60 km. Park yout car at raikot bridge and they will charge you 400 to 500 per day fot car parking. Road condition from batakundi to chilas is okay with some rough patches especially between batakundi and babusar but be careful and extra slow at rough patches. From chilas up to raikot bridge the road conition is a not good at all. Ahead of raikot bridgd its lik motorway haha till gilgit an then skardu road is narrow but metalled so no issue for city I guess

Rai kot to tattu village or fairy point. It depends. Sometime road is cleared up to tattu sometimes up to fairy point (jail)

From fairy point (jail) there is 3 to 4 hours walk up to FM

دوسرا دن: جگلوٹ سے سکردو، سکردو کے بازار میں مڑ گشت اور گردو پیش۔
تیسرا دن: لوئر اور اپر کچورا لیک
چوتھا دن: خپلو اور منٹوکھا آبشار وغیرہ ساتھ ہی راستے میں آنے والے مقامات۔یہ سب مقامات ہونڈا سٹی پر ۔
پانچواں دن: سکردو سے بذریعہ جیپ دیو سائی بڑا پانی۔ اگر ہو سکے تو وہاں رات کا قیام ورنہ واپس سکردو۔ اگر رات کا قیام ہو تو شیوسر جھیل بھی شامل کر لیں۔
چھٹا دن: سکردو سے رائے کوٹ پل بذریعہ کار، کار پارک کرنے کے بعد وہاں سے فیری میڈوزتک بذریعہ جیپ۔ اسمیں آپ کو دو سے تین گھنٹے پیدل ٹریکنگ کرنا پڑ سکتی ہے۔
ساتواں دن: فیری میڈوز اور گردو نواح
آٹھواں دن: فیری میڈوز سے رائے کوٹے پل بذریعہ جیپ اور پھر وہاں سے ناران بذریعہ کار۔
باقی دن آپ کراچی آنے جانے کیلئے رکھ لیں۔

دیوسائی اور فیری میڈوز کے سفر کیلئے جیپ کرائے کی مد میں آپ تقریبا کم از کم بیس ہزار کا بجٹ رکھیں۔

Park you car at raikot and hire jeep from there. For Deosai Park you car in Skardu and hire jeep. But if u are planning Astore Deosai Skardu then u will have to park your car in Chillas or Raikot. I can provide you Jeep owner number.
