Car Ac wont work in very hot Climate ( Karachi )

What if it doesn't die? Would you just keep suffering. Throw it away and buy a better compressor. I hope if you could afford to keep 2 or 3 cars then buying a compressor that costs few thousand extra won't hurt you.

Bro 1 month back i installed the Complete System and then after that i put this new Condenser, i cost me alot to maintain this car , Right now its working fine, i will do it in coming months. 2 to 3 cars takes alot of maintenance as you know. i will do it Soon IA will put terious Compressor again

And Bro i dont drive all cars that much, i Drove this 2015 Corolla only 2700 Kms in 6 months since lockdown, i bought another car 2 months back drove only 500 km in 2 months, Charade is parked all 30 days a month so my running is not that much

this is from 2014 rolla, there are different comp, i.e. single sensor/ double sensor for different versions and years,

Since the compressor in discussions is from scrap yard. The corolla 2nz old compressors dont cost more then 8 to 12k.

The ones that come in from the 10th gen so called sensor wala compressor they cost a fortune. But they don't put load on the engine

But yes they are prone to this problem. The compressor starts tripping at random and then dies eventually.

after this is has been established by almost all that replacement with the original one wont work, the prices of previous model have sky rocketted. atleast in the Lahore markets, i dont know abt Karachi scrapyards.

the original new comp. is either available at punjab car ac or dealership and costs around 55-60k.

dealership wont replace only compressor, instead they will change the whole unit, save the cooling box mechanics, cost around 150k.

then cost 2002-2008 compressor, which will cost 27k, as per mechanic and another car ac shop.

and then comes the duet one, which costs 10-11k and 1k for bracket, same belt and pipes are used.

Duet is a dead car. The scrap parts are available in abundance and cheap. Your ac mechanic would install what ever is cheaper to him.

I once in my life did alteration and installed a terios kid compressor in my 2001 Vitz with a bracket. One day the bracket fell off. Cost of repairs and damage was much bigger.

No alteration for me from then onwards.

If your compressor died leaving carbon, they usually replace the condenser and the coil aswell.

The old model compressor is cheaper than the pwm model, both sell in equal numbers.

duet was never even a car in Pakistan mkt, but its compressor has been the item of choice and has been installed from mehran to rolla, and recently ac mech suggested that it will perform equally well in camry which has denso 15 or 17

if you go back 20 years, this same technology compressor was "fel teknaloji" and "sanden" was king.

the reason was and still is

"Sale of a compressor makes them the most money, otherwise leak fix and gas charge will force them out of business"

This is why in other countries, A/C work, electrical work is mechanics job - not a specialty shop.
