I was just wondering if meguiars is better or 3M?

Meguairs does seem to have better products in general but there are a few specific ones here and there that take lead in 3M e.g. in the sealants category, 3M performance finish is better than Meg Nxt 2.0 but NOT with Meg Ultimate wax.
3M's carnauba line is a mediocre but Megs #16, #26 are widely respected.
And the comparison goes on and on with their polishing/compounding lines etc

By the way, 3M has acquired meguiars some time ago so they continue to be different products but parent company is 3M. Even in Pakistan, 3M is the major importer of meguiars now.

Yesterday Waxed my ride after a so long time...

Method used double bucket , first rinsed with water then washed with Car Shampoo and again rinsed with water... after drying applied wax panel by panel..

Products:

Before six months:

Before waxing

After Waxing... these swirls will kill me ... and uff humidity to wysy jaan lyny wali hy... (in Jeddah weather is always with high percentage of Humidity)

If your paint is in bad condition, then go for the meguiars restoration kit otherwise a meguiars new car kit has everything to get you started.

Not really.
For car wash, if you are not using a sponge or mitt, you need one for it.
You should have a separate one for drying wet car and a different one for wax buffing. Also for wax buffing it depends what your wax is as some powder a lot and clog your single towel.
3m has small sized towels compared to Meguiars supreme shine (almost same price as 3m if you buy the pack of 3).

for car wash i use Soft sponge

Yes, two MF should suffice.
For the soft sponge, do you use one meant for cash washes or a regular foam piece? If the latter, your car is susceptible to scratches because aren't any places to carry the dust without it rubbing your surface. What you can do though is that if it's slightly thicker foam piece, take a paper cutter and a scale/ruler and make cuts 1/4 inch deep in straight lines with the help of ruler (both horizontal and vertifical). This would now open up places in the sponge to carry dust. Ignore if you already use a specialised sponge, this advice may help anyone else though.

I thought these were before pics.....please share the procedure for the interior.
Look at the front door, rear seats, carpet.....they are all dirty. You should be more thorough while detailing....otherwise this isn't a detail. Do it again and make sure everything is clean and sparkling. And the exterior has a lot of swirls....you may want to give it a little cut, no?

regarding mats washed them every two months, there are marks of oil from workshop from the time when my car went for maintenance, and still havent found original one. INSHALLAH soon will change them...

Regarding front door, when I received car there are plastic coverings (like tape) on door sides and speakers, I kept them for 5 years same as it is, but after taken them off there difference is feeling too much... this is starting INSHALLAH will get expertise slowly...

Seats covers are not dirty, they give different shades so some times feels that they are dirty..

2. When you end up using a local 50rs wala brush on the dash and everywhere (and Ive seen a new detailing group in karachi do this as well) they end up destroying the plastic and the vinyl (even leather) with the scrubbing. They are NOT meant for that scrubbing)

3. Get a dedicated rubber and vinyl cleaner. They will really help you and prolong the life of your components. Meguiars has some very cheap cleaners which you can get..
