Mothers clay over ice turtle clay
Ultimate compound since the paint is neglected for 7 to 8months
When you said polishing , none of the above are polishes those are sealent my dear freind,
Polishe try getting meguiars ultimate polish or meguiars m205
And dont let this all go all loose get meguiars ultimate paste wax since goldclass and nxt arent any good the ultimate paste wax
And if you want to seal your paint for longer run get meguiars m21 syenthatic sealent , you can buy all this stuff from dc wax shop from @vague_one
Do buy meguiars water magnets for drying your car always and microfibre clothes for buffing waxes off and never dry dust your car

Thankyou i guess you havent tackled a ride with paint work neglected more then 7years and detailing isnt waxing the ride its cleaning the badges alloys each corner and nook ,cleaning them and then protecting them

hey everybody, this is my first go at detailing. I have a Curoe 2000, so I washed it first using nothing else but shampoo (Sastay log ) then I used Cosmic wax to polish the car.

Unfortunately, the night I waxed it, it rained

So I again washed it this morning.

Please do tell me how I did

Followed the detail was on request of my cousin specially for his wedding
Took 28hours phew

First washed the ride with 3m apc and meguiars wash and wax mixed for exterme dirt removing
After wash did not dried the car hence started claying it
Washed again but this time with meguiars wash and wax
Dried the car ,took 15mins break and then started swirl removing from 3m fast cut plus and yellow lake country css pad :D, washed again :S and then did polishing ultimate polish by hand and before i could seal the paint i though its better to just wax it cause i would pass away if i did any more so waxed with meguiars ultimate paste wax
Started from morning wednesday at 12pm and completed at thursay 4pm didnot slept once Sent from my GT-I9500 using PW Forums mobile app

Nice work on there lil fella, MashAllah, the ride does look much better....dint know you had this much stamina for detailing....though it`s much better to rest up an attack the ride fresh.....keep at it lil guy ! May Allah bless you

Masha Allah. If this is original paint work its in good condition and can definitely be improved with the correct procedure meaning no more cheap stuff. Cosmic does give a wet look and a smooth feel to the paint but it lacks durability......and quality control :P. So i'll advise you to buy a better quality wax which suits your budgets.
Also, please post better quality pics from a camera other than mobile phone if possible. The headlights need to be restored too.

P.S: NEVER, i say put your can of wax on the car as it causes scratches.

After reading so many posts I have planned to detail my Gli 2007 Gun metallic color as well .

Need some help and suggestion from professional. I have done lot of research on detailing finally plan to buy Meguiar's products. Can any one help

and guide me with steps along with products.

Steps & products

Step: 1 Washing with NXT Generation Car Wash
Step: 2 Claying (Which one would be better ICE, Mother, Meguiar's?)
Step: 3 Again Washing with Ultimate Wash & Wax
Step: 4 Ultimate Compound, SwirlX << which one should I use for preparation of surface after claying. I have decided compound because the car

surface has become very rough due to continuous ignorance 7-8 months . Is it correct?
Step: 5 Polishing mein bari confusion hai that what should I use. M21 Mirror Glaze? Synthetic Sealant 2.0 or M09 Swirl Remover 2.0? or M80 Speed Glaze? ( Is this part is known as sealing the paint I'm I right? )
Step: 6 I have decided to use Meguiar's Cleaner Wax will it be ok or should I go for Gold class or NXT gen 2.0 wax

Are these correct steps and products if not please guide me

( Can I get all these products from SACA plus or any other dealer in Lahore for original products please recommend any rough idea abt prices)

Brother, you are always welcome. Look brother, there is range of polishes starting from 1000 and going up to 50000. Before you start, you should read the first post of this thread and all the links or posts mentioned there by Usman Bhai. Once you have a basic idea of detailing, then you can start off systematically.

I am not a pro detailer though but I can tell you few basics before some professional guides you. The basic thing is that you have to prepare the base well. The better the base, the better will be finishing. As you have mentioned that you have not detailed the car for long so you will initially have to use clay bar. Once done with that, thou will have to check what's the condition of swirls. And so on, the things will move.

I will advise that if you have an access to visit some pro, do visit and learn the basis. Thereafter, you can start your own experiments.

product wise people says meguiar's > mothers > turtle
price is also same way,so it depends on whats ur budget,for me even turtle's black box works pretty well
u can use same wash for step 1 n 3
yes first wash the car to clean it,then clay n then wash again to clean the clay residue
after that you can compound then polish then cleaner wax and then you must use wax atleast at the end to protect the paint
for compound get either one of meg's or mothers
for polish you can get mothers step1 or 2,dont remember exactly but one of them is polish
i think step1 is compound n step2 is polish
n then u can apply step 3 wax at the end or meg's gold class
n lastly if u want extended protection apply sealent like turtle's ice synthetic or 3m's performance finish or meg's NXT

Hello all detailing gurus I want to detail my car so i am a noob in detailing so plz guide me which product should i use for my car. My total budget is 5-6k ( for every thing wax , shampoo , sealant , towel etc.. )and holding Toyota IST 2003 ( paint metallic ) dark blue color .
