Bhai jaan, removing swirls is just the beginning of the story. How will you maintain the swril free finish.
If you have a daily driver it will be prone to some minor swirls. What I do is that I never cover my car when dirty, I leave it dirty until I can wash it with the doubke bucket method myself and it always has a coat of wax on it. Also make sure that your tools are super clean. If you have a speck of dirt on the applicator pad while waxing- it will royally swirl uo your car until it miraculously gets off.

If you're a crazy detailer like me who can donate half an hour for washing everyday, then ultimate compound and ultimate polish topped up with a wax. If not, dont waste your clear coat and stick to ultimate polish ans wax only.- you can add a nice glaze to mask the swirls temporarily too.

Remember- no dry dusting- wash with the double bucket method, detailer spray and wipe with mf cloth if the dirt is less or rinse free wash in a spray bottle.

what do u mean "Removing swirls is just the beginning of the story"? will the swirls not be removed by applying compound on the first go? my question was HOW TO APPLY COMPOUND?? is it the same as waxing? compound on and compound off or something a bit different?? (keeping in mind i just learned how to wax...yeah yeah go on laughing but this a fact nw the next step i wanted to remove swirls nd i have no orbital machinery etc thingy)

he is not laughing at you he is telling you that after removing swirls you have to be carefull use clean tools don't do dry dusting etc etc nai to phir swirls per jai gi
if u can mantain the car after compounding then do it other wise there is no use to buff clear coat

Why would i laugh at you...
I myself started with cosmic, stayed at with one jar of turtle wax for one whole year and now im using meguiars.
I'm just trying to guide you that there are swirls on your car because you did not clean it properly previously. If you compound your car and don't correct your cleaning method, you will still get swirls again in very less time and a layer of clear coat would be gone. Eventually you will run out of clear coat and you will have to get a new paint job.

Sorry, i havent used Brill products yet so i cant guide you on their application.

UC = Megs Ultimate Compound
UP = Megs Ultimate Polish
AG SRP = AUTOGLYM Super Resin Polish
AG EGP = AUTOGLYM Extra Gloss Protectant (Sealant)
Ultimate Wax = Megs Ultimate Paste Wax...

Afters..
Presoak was used as the degreaser and a hint of lifebuoy on battery because it was badly stained up.
The wiper tray is not of very good quality and has a habit of cracking and fading if exposed to harsh sunlight without a protectant. I thoroughly washed it with soap and presoak and then applied turtle trim restorer-it did a pretty decent job but it attracts duct like crazy.
Total time taken was 2.5 hours.

This is the stuff I bought. :S
I'm hoping to use 'Fresh shine' of turtle wax for some interior shine (will try a little first) & Formula car shampoo for washing of course. Won't be using Cosmic wax on my City, if not returned then will use it on Mehran may b...

To much of my relief, & some of the detailing gurus I believe, I got rid of the stuff I bought from Metro... Returned today !

That was a breath of relief really. :thumbup:

Usman bhai apne studion mein, Aamir bhai thand enjoy kar rahy hyn, Ahmed bhai out of Pakistan, Durrani ka kuch pta ni (he is in backstage now a days), Omar Abdullah filhal exams k baad ki holidays enjoy kr raha, Abdul Hayee bhai is also on backstage, Ali bhai (KV) is also on backstage, Hamza bhai Luxury cars detail krny mein busy hyn, and me just got free from mehman nawazi and in coming week will detail my ride if and only if havent got any home chores after office hours....
