Sir, JazakAllah.....venue,menu,date,time,...mashwara doo na yar......date will be decided after I get word from everyone.....baaki menu, yar detailing meet par we dont eat, we just rub our hands over cars discuss methods an prods.....but I do owe you guys a cake for the 300 pages an 6000 posts so thats on me....

Yar thats what i meant about the menu . . . polishing, detailing, cleaning... put everything on the table.

I have to get rid of few scratched on the boot....it seems it was done diliberatly. So put that on the menu for sure..

Now for 300 pages and 6000 post... u dont have to give a treat...rather u should get a treat from all those who post here.

I totally agree that cleaning chart is not applicable here in Pakistan... where we have tons n tons of dust roaming freely 24hrs in our atmosphere.

The price of Mothers Reflection was Rs. 1600.00 (Sixteen Hundred) from Hyperstar Lahore. But it was worth spending that money. The contents of the bottle will last atleast 20+ coats if used carefully.

usman bhai what about macdonalds in menu by american system, it would not heavy on everyone's pocket and will also get proper place to sit togather for some time.

I see your point and it makes sense too...but to me it makes sense in the following order

Glaze (if being put on) + Sealant + Carnauba + Sealant...so we are looking at 3 coats after surface/paint prep (I am counting Glaze as part of paint prep)...so this falls under the multi coat regime...and why the heck not...we do use some sort of product as a final coat after Carnauba or any other wax...like a detailer or a wax enhancer so why not a sealant...detailer can be left off for midweek...

agree with this multi coat regime, this regime best for dusty conditions we have here at our roads

Ahmad Bahi I'm landing INSHALLAHA on 21st, after that depending on Frobles school calender ,If kids will get few days off regarding winter vacation, than I'll visit parents in Islamabad for couple of days.

For G2G I recon day time like 11 or 12 so we have good sunlight for Pic's as its winter.

well i want to know, that My university parking is very dusty, and when it feels so annoying that in the morning i get the car cleaned up, and in afternoon, it is covered again in dust, just wanted to know, whats the best way to clean your car on daily basis,

Go back a few pages (in the 290s I believe) and you will find the Dab and patt method...a little time consuming but the safest way...SO FAR...if you wanna avoid the dust scratches and swirls.

Also invest in a detailer (if you don't already have)...use a detailer to wipe the car instead of water (I do it twice a week).

Still working on that ultimate solution of that daily cleaning...but using top end sealants and detailers actually help by not letting a lot of dust settle on the car on a day to day basis.

Do not use a dry cloth even if it is an MF...do refer to the pat and dab method.

Work with multiple MFs, rotate their usage this will add to the life of the MF especially if you are daily wiper and it will allow you a clean one for every stage ...and use a good brand...

Oh btw I just absolutely love your GIF based Avatar...it had me flicking my screen quite a number of times over this past month!

salam.i washed my car yesterday did some waxing too.
it was my very first ride and my very first detailing session.
results are ok,not great.
A lot will depend on your technique, type of products applied and in the sequence applied...and also what is the Original condition of your paint.

i have some question.
whats the valid ratio of car wash liquid to water?
See instructions on the back of the bottle...I use a concentrate so the mix is like 1 oz to a gallon of water. Also if the instructions are in Gallons...find out which Gallon is it...UK or US as both Gallons are different (about 0.4 liter difference)...this you can tell by seeing where the product is made in. If it is not made in either Europe or US...as rule of thumb use US.

how much quantity of compound is needed to b applied?

after how much time should i wax after washing?
any coat after washing and drying should be done immediatly so that you do not let dust settle in and secondly the surface of the car after wash is cold/cool and most of the products demand is a cool surface for application.

is it ok to use one microfibre for drying after washing and for taking off waxing compound?

hmmm...why would you want to do this...if you want to do it for the ease of taking off...use a detailer and thin coats of wax...also stay tuned for this amazing wax on and wax off technique that I tried out this weekend...amazing...will be posting the tip hopefully tomorrow.

If you are trying to save on an MF...well don't because in drying the car you might have picked up some dirt and you do not want that dirt transfering on to your car at the most crucial stage of the detailing...YOU DO NOT WANT DIRT EMBEDED into the wax coat...simple

well, i read the Dab and Pat method, in pages you mentioned, but still picture is not that clear,

What i understand is, Use two MF cloths, one full Wet, first give a full swipe with it, then use dry MF to remove water stains, are there any other vital info, ..?

and which MF cloth should be bought, and how to check its authenticity..?

Quality is bad after a couple of washes...leaving skid marks and you can tell it is moving from an MF to a plain old Rag very very rapidly...

I have tried everything...from washing it with luke warm water and liquid soap to soaking it, to drying it indoors to steam cleaning it...to boiling...but nopes it just goes from bad to worse with every wash...

I have heard that Sonax Microfiber cloth also sheds a lot of colour when it is washed in mild warm water with detergent. Have you experience this?
Yesterday I was in Metro Cash n Carry Islamabad and saw these Sonax Microfiber cloths there. It is priced at 416 Rs.
Red one is for exterior use while green one is for interior.

Shahid Autos F10 Islamabad is selling the same cloth for 650 Rs. They buy it from Metro (a few KM from their shop) for 416 Rs and sell it for 650 Rs. In the same way all the products are highly overpriced.
Don't buy anything from Shahid Autos F10, an advice to all twin city detailers.

I recently tried Turtle Crystal Polymer Glaze on my car. I washed the car clayed it, put glaze and then wax.
For glaze I first mixed 5 parts water to 1 parts glaze, then spread it over the car with microfibre cloth. I used liberal amounts of glaze. After 3 hours I put carnauba wax on the car.

The glaze hid some of the scratches / marks and made the overall look slightly darker but the shine was not there.
Where did I go wrong? is this wrong way to put the glaze ?
