now on to letting my buddies know what i have been up to
a detailing session spanning from around 6pm yesterday to 9am today morning (with 10 hours of gap in-between :P)
did a complete shampoo, rinsed, shampooed again, rinsed. used shampoo and open water hoze with two bucket method for shampoo. going from roof, both windscreens, then hood, then back lid, then doors upper portion and windows, then bumpers, then lower portion of doors.
dried the car
applied Mothers California Gold Sealer & Glaze - Step 2 (the first time i used this product)
used a foam applicator (first time using a foam applicator to apply anything) and fresh MF for removing and buffing
applied on one panel, let it haze and removed and slight buffing. did the larger panels in two pieces.
it was between 8 and 9 pm when i got finished with this.
took two large cloth pieces (kind of bed sheet cloth) and placed them over the car, grabbing them with doors and hood lip area
this was done as i wanted it to cure before applying the wax
washed the foam applicator clean and dried (almost) left it in the room as it would dry overnight easily
so sealer and glaze did what it needed to do.
woke up went down to the car with Mothers FX SynWax
took off the cloth pieces
took fresh MF side out, did a soft slow wipe on the entire car
used a foam applicator for applying wax (again a first time for me on this, was applying with bare hand before)
let it haze and then removed and buffed. doing one or two panels at a time or half to one for bigger panels

job complete. (no i don't have top coat product or would have applied that too)
A TIP
these days if you can manage an other detailing friend to be with you while detailing, it will be great and will help in avoiding many critical mistakes
in shampoo stage one should apply the shampoo and the other should rinse with water, this will help in the shampoo not drying before rinse which leaves marks and is not good and its always recommended to avoid
In glazing/sealing/waxing/top coat one would apply and the other would remove this will help in concentrating in both applying and removing stages and ofcourse one would not tire oneself up too much.
Though the main advantage of an other person is in shampooing stage. Ask your family member to help you out, it will be a good activity with the family member/sibling.
