No Justification required... i posted on PW before posting on DC Site.

</font>[/I]<font color='DarkRed'><font color='Black'>DC Site is  purely related to detailing. Hardcore detailing. Every new user was  asking same and same question over and over again and to go through the  whole thread was not initiated by most of the new commers.

The main idea about the DC site was and still is to keep it specific to detailing and to create a place for USMAN to create and manage his database of the writeups. This way the new users can find the answers easily and can benifit from it.

The writeups till date on DC site by usman are his previous jobs which he did few months back and he is just building up his database and organizing it in a professonal way so that leaners like me can benefit from it without wasting our n V1's time.

He has posted black civic, shazoos civic, lc on this thread and those posts are all burried under layers of other posts and it is very hard to find them or to refer it to someone. Atleast on DC site, these posts are organized now and easy to access by everyone.

HYPER POLMER GLAZE is oily.... thats what it is supposed to be. Oily If it is not oily it will not fulfill the purpose which is hiding of swirls. If u prefer non oily product, u can try MOTHERS PROFESSIONAL HAND GLAZE #84532. It is non oily and dries out in a while to powder and required buffing off just like any wax. But it does not have SWIRLS HIDING CAPABILITIES to 100%, rather it just hides them to 10 - 15%. SO every product got it use as preferred by the users

nabeel regarding the Polymer glaze , i did used it but made some mistakes using it , further u can read the following post (if i would have read those posts earlier i might not make the mistakes i made using the glaze )

yes i saw those posts,but that doesn't exactly answer the question, so i posted.

anyway today i did the rooftop. did liquid clay, then swirl removal, then glaze and finally platinum wax. dont have a camera so no shots while doing it but i did take reflection shot from someones camera. (see below)

the turtle swirl remover only took out minor swirls, like about 40-50% with some effort. i applied it with foam pad on small sections at a time in circular motions. before there were countless small ones. after, didn't notice at that time but at night from bulb reflection i see now they are much less in number although these are much more solid. i think these deep ones are left and minor ones removed. in the evening specially in reflection almost none were visible.

the glaze i applied with foam pad and left for about 2 hours of course covered as well to protect from dust. my understanding was that wax would be applied directly on top of it but then i thought better safe than sorry so i buffed it out but it was sticky and hard to take off. well im still sorry, think i messed it up and reinstalled swirls :frown:. would really appreciate comments on application of this particular glaze. i think its results are great but its removal (or not) has me puzzled specially the swirls masking part of this glaze.

anyway, looks perfect from this angle, but has many swirls upfront. i'll try to get some shot of sun reflection for better opinions on remedy.

yes you are right, that's why i chose it. but for me it did not hide swirls. maybe they are too deep or maybe i did wrong with it. i'll get some closeups, but do you take it off or apply wax directly on top of it?

I would suggest to apply it, let it sit for while. Depending upon the paint condition, you have to judge how long u want to let it sit. If the paint is too much dried out, it will absorb the glaze like a thirsty crow. Once the paint thirst is finished, that the point where you conclude your judgement and take off the glaze by applying some wax ( Natural or Synthtic). Dont just buff off the Polymer Glaze - it wont do any good. Never over dose the paint with glaze - it will be no good, same with any wax... never apply in more quantity. If you think the glaze if fully absorb, u can apply another thin layer to be on the safe side and let the paint absorb it.

Choosing Natural or Synthetic is again based on your judgement or personal preferrence. You want to add more to the depth of the paint, apply Natural or if you want more shine go for synthetic. I have tried both and based on the mood i chose one or the another.

Being in Pakistan, my final coat is ways synthetic. And i had been very satisfied with Mothers Reflection Top Coat. Gives protection and lasts long - easy to apply and easy to take off.

Adding more to Mothers Reflection Top Coat, i message it to the car body slowly with no pressure using applicator pad and buff it off at the same time with a clean microfiber. it protects, enhances the underneath depth created by the wax and give superior shine and wet look.

That was my learning and by no way is the professional verdict.

Coming to the agenda of my post, Usman Bhai, I need some help regarding masking de-waxing and masking swirls.
About masking swirls, I have been using Blazin' Glaze for masking but now i need something better. I understand that glaze is a little on the abrasive side, rather a lot. So is it something to be concerned about? I have seen how it can cleanly wipe off the entire coat of wax. The ratio i have been using is 7-8:1. I have this 'keera' of tiring something new. So i have my eyes set on Hyper Polymer Glaze. How would you rate it as compared to the Blazin' Glaze?
Also, I have a brand new bottle of SwirlX in my arsenal. I am aching to try it on my 2003 Honda City. But I cannot do it with a simple foam or MF pad as it simply does not appear to work when i tried it. And my orbital is just 'khusi' to take it on. Any way around it?
Coming to de-waxing, anyone here tried Heavy Duty Car Wash from turtle? I used after a long while, and i noticed that it did the same work as liquid clay? Am i hallucinating or did it actually de-waxed the car?

okay two guys have put in queries...

@Fahad5...new car...wax...detail...absolutely!!! you are car is currently swirl free or will have minimum swirls...paint is fresh...the choice is yours...you can maintain it, infact enhance it from right now or wait 6 months for it to go a couple of notches down and then rectify it....

Whether you want minimum indulgence in this hobby or go in heavy...let your first few applications decide that...if you want a clean and blinging car...you'll never go back.

Okay here is how you should spend your 2000-2500. Your biggest concern right now should be Micro fiber cloths. DO NOT LET ANY OTHER CLOTH TOUCH YOUR CAR...AND SPECIALLY A DRY ONE...biggest cause of swirls and scratches is a bad cloth or a dirty cloth. So 1200 of your budget should go on a 6 pack of MFs available at Optimum motorsports zamzama...if you approach from the back lane heading towards shamsheer, cross the park (on your right)...Optimum is in the lane with MILANO snacks on the corner, optimum is next to the sports bike showroom.

Next you should get the speed car care kit...the 500 ml pack comes for around 700 I guess...it has a shampoo, a tyre cleaner, liquid Carnuaba and a chrome cleaner. It is definetly geniune as it is the brand of our very own Khurram and he gets if formulated abroad. Excellent product range to start with...some members who will vouch it are Hakro and Accord...Infact...for your red, I will recommend this Carnauba mix because you will love the dark shade it will take your car to...the famous red lady was maintained for quite some time on SPEED. Last of all, spend 500 on Armor All Detailer from Optimum or 525 from hyper star. This will help you in cleaning your car between...you are not supposed to dry wipe your car even with an MF. the detailer will help you in safely removing the dirt and will also revive the waxed look...this is ofcourse till the wax coat lasts. You can use the detailer as often as you like. There are tons of other products that can be recommended but here the idea is to get you fully equipped with a GOOD BALANCE of products within your budget.

You will also need a liquid hand wash, as you need that to wash your MFs regularly. Do get that 6 pack as you will need plenty of MFs if you want to keep a perfect paint finish.

So your total kharcha comes to around 2400-2500...Do get in touch when you procure the stuff so that we can guide you on the application process.

Speed, if you are interested, just letme know, I'll get it arranged from Khurram and you can pay and pick it up from him.

Ok bhai jan, you applied the swril remover correctly if you managed to remove the swirls or lessen their count out, so pat on the back for that! Now for the glaze, huffffff, bhai jan polymer glaze is a professional product, amatuers will have trouble with it, I learnt how to use it after loads an loads an loads of experimenting.....I can use it in dilution in a spray bottle, I can use it with dilution with the foaming lance an lastly undiluted straight onto the paint surface....if you are going for the direct method, I suggest you just apply wax over it, Kashif bhai has laid the options out for you regarding the kind of finish you desire....natural for depth an synthetic for shine....now for a proper app, undiluted onto the paint surface method...heres what I do, pour 3 or 4 drops onto a foam pad, an swipe it across the surface, with mild pressure...just so you place some oils in the swirls...give a little time for the glaze to settle in, some cars may need hours, some not even 5 secs, this is somthing you will have to judge...the Belair I did absorbed the glaze before I even finished a panel, whereas a 2011 civic took 4 hours to absorb it....so this your call....hope it helps!

JazakAllah bro for the kind words! Hmmmm, bhai jan polymer glaze by far exceeds blazin glaze...Ive switched to it long ago! The way around the swirlx is a rotary, an Ill be glad to lend you mines! Pop over any time an take it, Ill have the cuttin pad ready with it as well! Oh that Heavy Duty shampoo, mixed with warm water is a big time favourite with me! Huba huba! Does cleaning wonders...its a bit milder than liquid clay but a loooot stronger than a most of the shampoos Ive used.....Id give it a 10/10 for cleaning ! An yes it will de-wax yer ride!

this is not my personal assumption, first.
Watching at the presence of members,non members and visitors,you will be quite sure the loss of traffic to this particular platform,many of the new faces which were asking about their particular problems were leaving unanswered,second.
Its been more than a week now after the annual event,and karachi members were not involved in the event ,third.
I have requested the members to attend the thread not aiming any gun towards them,if you are becoming hyper with request,its not my problem,forth.
I am pleased to read your long write ups and your approach on the products when you advise others for instance chauhdary9.you should think once,your posts are penetrating in his mind or not, viewers are getting some thing out from your posts at least.
About Dc site,i will always be pleased to see it flourishing and i wish very best of luck to usman and fellows,be clear.

Brother, no need to be sorry to me! Im no one to pass judgements...Ive always said that the opinions given by me are just what I am able to pull out with the prod! Yours my differ to great extent! Now this is a glaze, an the reason I`m using this glaze is to mask swirls....you might have remember me writing the reason we see swirls is the edges reflect light...this specific glaze being extremely oily fills up the hollow space an thus the swirl is visible no more!

It would be very kind of you if you could bring some thing up in front of me,i 'll visit you soon.
My remarks over the HPG are not final i have commented on watching a glimpse of the product you put on the silver city the day we met.

The answer is yes....you can fill it with paint, an it can be wet-sanded to bring in a neutral plain smooth surface that you can later comp an buff out to a shine. Heck Ive even taped of smaller areas on my car an spray painted them to a perfect finish.....the whole trick is in wetsanding....you need to know your marbles when you do it....the front passenger door on shazos ride was hit by a bike, a complete under section was welded on an sprayed...the top edge near the door handle was bent inwards an that too was straightened out and painted...NOT THE WHOLE DOOR JUST SMALL PANELS....they were wetsanded to a level where it matched the original paint an wallah! No difference at all! So its very much possible....only if you know what yer doing!

Although both hakro n khurram posted their details...and if a die hard detailing nymph like me hasnt detailed for two weeks...that means that i was busy...so busy that i havnt even been able to wipe the dust of my beloved goth...so if i have an hour to spare to spend here...wouldnt i be out there spending it on goth.

saw lot of detailed car and girls in hong kong:P , Allha nazar-e-bud se bachaye sab ki hee detailing perfect perfect thi mashallha thats reasoon when ever i back from foreign trip muje gher ki murgi really daal lagti hai :(:S:( in my personal view we are muslims so hum ko 70 murgian janat main millen ge per pata nahi mileen ge be ke nahi :S

ok well back to car detailing, this time in hong kong i met with one detailig baba instead of detailing haseena for my shopping and he seems really knowledge able person and he gave me one tip for masking swirls, well i am sure experts here already knew it.

once usman bhai demonstrate me hiding swirls by wax with hand application so hongkong wala baba gee told i should use m/f foam applicator for wax application, yesterday i did one pannel and its really works, though it consume more wax but its really masked many of swirls and minor secratches. i would highly recommend megs cleaner wax with m/f foam applicator , excellent combination for older cars , good thing is m/f foam pad also absorbs our excesive hand presure so safe for paint surface.

if u dont have m/f foam pad than u can use ur standerd foam pad and cover it with m/f cloth and now u are ready to go

Welcome back janab! Yeh jo maslay masail aap bayan kar rahay hain in ka hal yakeenan bhabi kay pass hoga.....ruju farmayen.....kismet azmayen.....khul kay kut khayen! Jee Ahmed bhai this method you are mentioning.....I think I`ve written about it in certain long lost posts....our dear brother Aamir almashoor Africa walay practices it with the Speed wax....I do it with soft waxes...you see when you use a MF pad, its non-porous an ensures that you rub more of the wax on the paint surface than into the foam pad....thus filling up the swirls! But JazakAllah for the share! An glad to have to back!
