Car Care and Detailing Dreams

Hey guys, Today it was good weather here in lahore, so i plan to detail my car, it was a bit confusion to decide that i should go for City or Alto, so finally i picked Alto.. Started around 3pm and finish around 6pm..

First of all here are the Products which i used:

First of all washed Alto with Turtle Wax Ice shampoo and Turtle Wax Washing Mitt (two bucket method) Use Meguiars water magnet drying towel to dry the car and after that, i was bit confused that what to use as there are hell lot of swirls on ma car, so i had Formula 1 Wax (to use as cleaner wax) but then i rejected it. Then comes the Formula 1 scratch out, but again i rejected F1. Got hands on Meguiars Ultimate Compound, i did panel by panel application with Meguairs Soft pad, i wish i had a DA becuase Meguiars recommend application of Ultimate Compound with DA. anyways it was good experience to use Ultimate Compound, got rid of light swirls and also felt smoothness on car's surface, it took almost 1 hour in application and removal of Ultimate Compound.

After that i just gave the car a wipe with wet/damp mitt and then i took out Meguiars NXT. Applied thin layer and wipe it with Meguiars Supreme Shine mf... and finally used ArmorAll Tire Foam (on Omer bhai recommendation) i must say, i am Fan of this product now! got very decent even shine on tires. 10/10 for this tyre dresser.

Bro u can get these thing from Dubia auto Rwp or New dubai auto in I-8 Markaz , though the prices at I-8 markaz are high but u can bargain if u r good at it

well i had in my mind for gc + nxt but umai bhai having some other high end products in his mind for first detailing, so here is route map for this first detailing
1) meguiar's wash and wax shampoo with m/f wash mit foam
2) dodo juice blue velvat hard wax applied by meguiar's soft foam pad and taken off with m/f cloth
3) dodo juice purple haze soft wax applied by another meguiar's soft foam pad and taken off with m/f cloth
4) water wipe with another m/f cloth
5) apllied auto finesse tough coat sealent spray , take off after an hour
6) on tyers used meguiars endurance tyer gel
7) on rims used meguiars nxt

car coverd with car cover and next early morning took pictures with bb as well as sony 5mp camera.

trust my words" dunyia hee badal gye even brand new car just 60 km driven on oddo car paint totaly changed, car skin become extreamly smooth and silky touch colour ka poocheen hee na become toooooo much black, tooo much watery effect and reflections mashallha mashallha ...

Allha ka shuker hai us ne muj jese chote bande ko ye car de and further such caring / loving brothers who made converstion of this pakistan assamble car to jdm brand new car:)

well in pics u cant judge properly however faizan bhai and omer bhai @oklodhi are vitness of this car with there naked eyes and to touch the surface yesteday at my place

now comes the part for the bad face... and mood ofcourse

so what am i up to... well yesterday... gave a full double bath to my car with turtle ice shampoo... couple of panels at a time only... it was beeding and sheeting nicely, used a lot of water to make sure only very less water remains on the body for drying...

used fresh microfiber to dry the droplets that had left on some areas (very few)

After drying used turtle platinum series liquid wax applying with hand, letting it haze and then removing with microfiber... again mainly couple of panels at a time...
when i was finishing with the wax buffing... i noticed small droplets on the boot cover and rear windscreen and damn it had starter to drizzle and wind picked up and dust started to come in...

Being inspired from this thread got Meguiar' GC and probably 1st time in my life waxed my Alto 2005 myself. Here are few pics though actual results looks much better than these 3.2mp pix. Will improve with the passage of time and guidance of experts IA

i went to the market after posting my question so you guys were late anyway i got the sonax interior cleaner after testing it on the car it did leave a matte finish and no shine at all and so relection so it worked for that puropose but since my car was just recently serviced and cleaned so i didnt feel much of a difference either :S

Bhai jan I think you were advised on Turtle Ice Interior! These Sonax prods have always been a little PHUS to deliver...neways! JazakAllah for the input!

wese i would like to say something, specially to the newbies, including me...
Its about the side shot to show reflection...
well first and foremost... the reflections we see in many cars posted by some of the better detailers are not going to be same or even at par with the ones we are going to make... its not cuz some how we have low grade products or we cant do the job (ofcourse we cant do the job as good as the seniors) but we do the job well (if we follow the tips of seniors and show patience)
the reason their pics are way better than ours is because the treatments their cars have gone through, the time and effort put in to it, not this one time detail but the many details before hand, the many file polishing sessions, the many glazing and sealing sessions and much much more has gone into the protection and care of the surface of their cars that even a quick detailer will do wonders with their ride...
the point of my post is not to discourage or anything like that... its to say a simple thing dont try to compare your ride with the ride of others, compare your ride to your own ride, just include the time difference.
as you may have seen the pics posted by ahmed bhai, they are comparison of his own car with before and after, and i can bet these pics will be used as comparison even 5 years down the road (if he still has that car) to show and see what wonders the detailing has done to the car.

so please dont try to duplicate the images of others, specially the side shots taken by keeping the camera right next to a panel and showing the reflections.

I would like to ask some of our senior members to make some standard shots, such as the Aamir Bhai shots (full car shots from a simple angle), that 1- show the work at it best and 2- show the work at its worst.
This will definitely help in posting shots in this thread and also help us identify where we are wrong, so we can correct it.

We should also make a standard that the images posted here should be unprocessed (though i believe we all do post unprocessed images only yup we are good)
and only show pictures (from get together and car shows should be processed and that too should not harm or enhance the genuine look and feel)

Thnx boss as i m a newbie so just washed the car with formula1 car shampoo applied wax with meguiars applicator pad and rubbed off using a microfibre towel.
