The best brands I have used so far are zymol and swisswax....Micron is a unit of measurement, when we talk about microns in car paints we mean how much paint is layered onto the car......the thickness of the paint...the minor dots in the paint for shine are metallic flakes....they are used with metallic paint only....an yer painter sorry to say knows nothing if he said microns are the metallic flakes or even lacquor....

Thanks Well what polishes should i apply on the fresh paint.And while the car is being painted in the paint booth what things i should be careful of.For example ideal temperature?

dear ahmad
the headlights need to be checked, or images seen to tell you what path you should follow to clean them ... or if you need to replace them alltogether
if you can post the pictures of the head lights it will help
there are headlight restoration kits available ... but first show the image of the headlight to access what needs to be done

for a white car, you should go for a good synthetic.
how much budget do you have?
and its not just the wax... its the entire package... the shampoo, microfibers, and wax

Bhai jee, sorry I could quote you earlier, but in your detail , I really saw a stroke of hardwork, an evenness....what I really admired about it is the watery effect you have put on the ride.....really hard colour to tend to, but awesome effect of the glow you have gotten out of it! An yar yeh detailers ki to purani musebat hoti hai, detail kay bad foran hi barish!! But hey atleast the car is protected and will come out looking all "chamak challo" (tribute to Ahmed bhai`s description of a good detail) Pat on the back mate! Changa kam kita ee !

also forgot to ask, recently got the bumper painted, its surface is very rough and no shine/reflections, i think dust has settled on it. any tips for its remedy?

Bhai jan, you`ve been told properly about it needing a wetsand and then some compin session, but remember my bro, plastic paint is very very very hard to play with...so get it done professionally! Not a D.I.Y.....no no !

hello guys...um new to this detailing thread...
so keep it simple for me ..
what do you recommend for

new ALTO, less than 2 months old
2007 camry, 40,000km driven

what am i supposed to use to keep both cars in pristine condition..
though camry's paint seems to be immaculate..like new....but still i need some recommendations

and id prefer if they are already availible in the market..i wont go into the hassle of importing n all

Welcome to the thread an the world of detailing brother! For both, let me give you the ultimate time tested combo....buy the pair of Meguairs Gold Class and Meguaris NXT, an alternate on the layering.....this is the simplest and most effective guidance I can give!

Dear Jugno! thanks alot for your kind reply. Yes, I do have following:
1. Turtle wax Synthetic rapid drying Shampoo.
2. Turtle wax Synthetic paste Polish.
3. Sonax Metallic high gloss.
3. Microfibers.

The results of Sonax are better than that of Turtle Synthetic wax. But I wanted to have even better shine. Thought to switch to Carnauba, but I've heard that it's not so great on lighter colour cars. That's why this question...

Secondly, I'll soon get posted pics of headlights as you've advised.

Whats the good product to use for making the engine parts like rubber,plastic a bit shinny...the engine is pretty clean but it doesn't have that wet look.. any product please?which is easily available.
