And to highlight the standard of application, let me make it clear that the correct process is Sealant + Carnauba(if desired). Carnuaba + Sealant is wrong way of doing it.

By the way, Meguiar's #26 is a Hybrid finishing Wax.

Waxes are made Hybrid to increase durability/longevity and protection.

Dear Brother, i am not bothered how you or any other person does this. But i'll really appreciate if u can support your belief with LOGICAL arguments. Instead of saying k falaan bhi to aisa karta hai Love u bro for such reply (H)

I am not the first guy to say this, u would have a better idea if u would have googled it a bit. World over seasoned detailers, teach that sealants 1st.

Now let me explain Logically, as why i say so:

1. Most of the Sealants are more durable/long lasting than Carnauba waxes? Agreed??? Obviously, this is their unique proposition.

Whereas, both (sealants & Waxes) serves the same purpose, that is to protect the paint finish from alien contaminants, weather abuse, UV resistance to name a few alongwith great looks.

1. They serves as a lines of defence for the paint. Thus the more durable layer of defence (Sealant) first.

3. Possible oils from Carnauba wax won't help the sealant bond onto surface, if applied over the wax.

4. Since the carnauba wax is comparatively less durable than the sealant and strips off earlier as compared to sealant, thus acts as a sacrificial layer over sealant.

Exception to the above: Water based sealants/Spray sealants can be applied over carnauba waxes because their solvent free formula alows them to bond to carnuaba waxes without compromising the protection provided by them. (e.g: dodo juice supernatural Acrylic spritz sealant)

There is no right or wrong way when it comes down to this question and I have been reading on it infinitely. It depends though on the paint type, the condition, the prep etc etc.

Usually its better to apply the synthetic first followed by the carnauba on top to give it much longer lasting protection and a good depth. But most professionals will agree that applying a carnauba before gives ALOT more depth on darker colors and multi stage paints.

If someone prefers the depth I would do a carnauba + synthetic + carnauba for them, just that it needs def more maintainance.

The actual way around this discussion and the better way of doing this would be using a product that actually provides the polisging oils which you are trying to get out of the carnauba for the look e.g Meg DC polish. Its a pure polish no abrasives. Just provides the polishing oils to revitalize the paint. All the paint correction needs to be done before this step. After applying this I could go straight for a sealant with almost no carnauba needed.

My dear brother Usman, bas mujhey yeh samjhado, technically & logically that, HOW CAN A SYNTHETIC POLYMER (Inorganic) COMPOUND MAKE A STRONG CHEMICAL BOND WITH NATURAL (Organic) COMPOUND?

I agree its the personal choice/taste of LSP and i don't argue on that , but when it comes to layering sealants and waxes over one another; Its the matter of common sense that Sealant 1st. If u apply synthetic over carnauba, that wont last long and its durability would be compromised.. That's why sealant is recommended before carnauba.
