Car shakes when brakes applied in higher speed

My car corolla 2002 ( Diesel 2000 cc)shakes when brakes applied in higher speed.

Pakwheelers please comment, dignose and find best solution .

My Corolla 2000 XE does the same . I'm guessing a brake discs issue but since its working fine (i mean, the car DOES stop when I apply the brakes), I'm deffering the solution for later time.

Edit: I'm sorry, my car doesn't vibrate per se, the brakes produce some sort of disturbing sound, so you might have a suspension problem as suggested below.

It's the rotors that make the steering shake if they are low quality.. not the brake pads.

u will have to take ur car to a kharadiya and get "tool" on disc rotors.
disc rotors get un even when hot and make contact with water. so they will grind a thin layer off it and it will be fine.

rotors arent changed that often,it wod be the low quality brake pads,happened with me once and i got better brake pads and the shaking went away,rotors need to be changed when the shaking is quite voilent and the metal disk itself is quite thin,check and see

Shaking happens when rotors(disks) are warped. So, when you change the rotors put the new pads as well.

Machining the rotors won't help if they are low quality. Even if the rotors look brand new and plain... they are still goning to skake...if quality is poor...

You should always change rotors and pads together.. if you change either one and not the other.. its like brushing your teeth with no tooth paste...

Get your front disks : TOOLED: its mechanics language. Apni diskon ko tool lagwao cos they are little uneven ... they will be fine once surfaced.

When is the last time u got r brake serviced? May be you need a new pads beside "tool"

Put some good quality rotors. I changed mine last week after 8 years (had original VW rotors). They still had meat in them but I did not want to machine them because with new pads they would have crossed the limit for changing rotors.

did you recently get your front discs polished? (as they call it to apply tool or whatever in desi lingo). Sometimes when an inexperienced person does the job, he cuts the disc unevenly which causes this problem. The same thing happened to me aswell, and the culprit was an uneven front disc.

^^ things work slightly different here in pakistan.
we can spend 300 rupees and get rotors tooled. i myself have done it 5 or more times on different cars and no complains

I only use the good quality brush to my teeths. No paste required. self cleaning.:d
