Is it possible to pay token at ETO islamabad?

Ok guys.. I have recently paid life token for my khyber car model 1996.. The excise deptt has a list which shows how much tax is required to be paid for different models starting from 91-92 i guess, subject to payment of all token taxes of previous years. I got the form from an agent and filled it and when i went into room no 2b to get it verified, the concerned clerk told me that only those tax would be subtracted from 10000 which has been paid in Punjab districts only. Where as for previous 5 - 6 years, i have been submitting my tax in islamabad. I went to Director excise and even he told me the same thing.. So the tax for my khyber went up to 6000. And its also in newspaper, that any one failing to do so by 30th Sept, 2012, would face penalty of 200%. And i firmly believe that Punjab govt would impose this fine since they are facing severe Budget deficits and they are making all legal and illegal moves to gather money. Those Ganja brothers can do anything for money and can degrade themselves to the lowest level. So back to topic, wht alerts me is that they have said Life time Token tax, but no where it is mentioned whether it includes Income tax or not. Since my car is more than 10 years old, so it excludes income tax bracket, but the other ones should also get it confirmed from Respective Excise departments. And yes, the excise deptt stamped my original book showing LIFE TIME TOKEN PAID, a printed receipt and one round sticker with P printed on it.

I also have the same questions:

1. My car's earlier tokens were paid in Lahore as it is lahore registered but at the time of transfer of ownership, its tokens were paid at ETO Islamabad. Can I pay this year's token too in Islamabad?
2. What is the last date to pay tokens without fine?

Please help me urgently!!!!!!!!!

in this thread me and others have repeatedly said, u can only go to ur previous or existing post office only. if punjab and switching cities, there is a set process for changing post office.

life time token.i personally think its a good move as u will never have to visit post offices again.no one with a small car would have to go post office again for tokens.this would reduce rush as well.

last date was July end.if ur car is 10 years or older, last date without fine is sept end.
i recommend you to visit eto office and show them previous token stamps and get it done

Can anyone let me know that i ve paid token tax of suzuki mehran 800cc lhr reg at rwp post office for a year 2012-13.is Post office staff stamped it til 2013,whereas as per Official Website of Motor Transport Management Information System site the vehicle tax paid is shown till 2011,secondly is it must that life time token be paid when post office staff accepted token for a yr themselves

I have paid my isb reg car token at eto...
Paid net 8000/- to an agent for;
1- token fee payment at eto (which is actually registered at korang town post office)
2- late token payment charges
3- car transfer on my name without taking my car to the eto, without attendance of buyer seller, and all this in one day.

It doesn't work like that. You won't need to pay for the token but you still have to pay the taxes every year. Epic BS by the local government, may be it was time to collect some money during the last year...

this is a long thread went for few pages but thought to ask, I just missed my tokens, I didnt knew what is the time when tokens are needed to be submitted sorry being the new kid in keeping a car.. I had a bike so it had no token thing and had a life time paid something..

So what should I do now, friend told me there will be a jurmana to be paid now.. I am not sure how much it would be ?

I am in Lahore, and I have a 1000cc car, now I heard another rumor that upto 1000cc cars are now being life time paid token, but I saw on another thread in PW that even life time token is paid you have to pay some other tax..

please enlighten me!

@asad you will have to pay yearly amount + fine amount depending on number of tokens missed.go to the post office for estimation/exact amount

I want to know what does it mean???

it means that the post office mentioned/nearest to address you provided in registration book may be visited by you beofre 30th dec 2012 so that the post office staff enters your car details in his ledger,he wont charge you anything for it but next yr in july you ll go to pay token there at that post office,he will have record of your vehicle.is you fail to visit post office before 30th dec 12 then you ll again have to go to excise office and its big khawari
