Here's a breakdown of the total registration cost including with holding tax :
Total cost of registration by honda city sales kalma chowk. Message sent to me by the sales representative when I registered my car through them
2403500*2%=48070
wht 75000+48070=123070
book 500+123070=123570
T Tax 4500+123570=128070
I Tax 4000+128070=132070
P Tax 200+132070=132270
s cheg 4000+132270= 136300

I still haven't received my registration book. Honda people say they will let me know in two weeks.
They got a challan form from the registration office which allows my father to drive the car wherever he wants to and it states that the car is registered in his name and original registration documents are in process.
I guess u will have to go to the ETO office and pay this amount when the registration book comes.

Thanks for your reply. But my question is this I have already registered my new Civic from Islamabad in June 2013 paying Rs.81700 to Honda Center guys. They have given me receipt signed by ETO which states that vehicle is registered in my name and the registration book will be issued in November 2013.In the payment token tax is already payed but in July as the new year starts will I have to pay again token tax for 2013-2014 or I shall wait for registration book. Regards.

you have to get it tied up to your nearest post office
take care of the reciept and enjoy the drive for now

Thanx hash4u bro for the useful tips & help. Unfortunately, the ETO number is always busy & I am unable to contact. I want to know the timings of Rawalpindi ETO. I have also heard that there is a 2nd shift also. Please guide me ASAP as tomorrow is the last day.I will be obliged.

After wasting one whole day at GPO Lahore Mall Road, there was a notice that Motor Tax can be submitted till 30th September 2013.
I paid tax for 1799cc car Rs. 8250
For 1496cc car Rs. 5900

I did not go to ETO office & decided to pay 300 extra. 10% exemption k liye awam ko zalil kia jata hai sara sara din....

Last Saturday, I have submitted my honda city token fee RS. 4820/- at GPO Mall.

Deposited Rs.3040 token tax of 96 Corolla Faisalabad registered in a Faisalabad Post Office through somebody in Faisalabad.Sent the Reg. book by Daewoo and got it back the next day through Daewoo.

Token tax payments of my car were messed up as previous owners and then we too paid some in district outside Punjab but I talked to that guy in Faisalabad and he once again managed to register for token tax payments in Faisalabad.And now I send him the book, he deposits it and then I pay him after getting the Reg. book back.

car registered more then 10 years old, have no with holding tax.no need to go in July at all, cause no discount for old cars further. i will go after eid for my old corolla

2 colleagues got late.got token done in Aug, paid 2-300 rupees extra(thats it ! )----1300cc cars / isb

The rebate for the month of July is actually on Token Tax that goes to Excise.

As for as Withholding Tax is concerned its the same even if you deposit it in July or late and there is no discount/rebate on WHT, its a Federal Tax.In Punjab there is also a discount on Token Tax for cars older than 10 years.And Withholding tax is already abolished after 10 years from the date of registration.
