Ok, went to post office today. I am short of galiyaan jo main in logo ko doon. They showed me this and only upon my asking, the guy told me that there is a filer / non filer thing too. He said I have to submit NTN copy and my income tax will be reduced to more or less half.

Question for tax return filers (last fiscal year): Did you get a new NTN card ? If not then what he means by NTN copy, I have a NTN number but don't remember NTN card. It was issued to my around ten years back I guess which I do not have with me now.

You must have copy of your ntn certificate!!
If not go to fbr page and check for active tax payer section and you will hAve ur certificate copy their

Do we need to show NTN copy for cars more than 10 years old in Punjab? Is there any reduction in the rates after showing the NTN copy for cars more than 10 years old? Thanks.

What about people who don't have any income but have a car registered on their name, like gifted by someone etc.

They'll be under non-tax payer category? but since they have no income, they don't need to file tax return? O_O

Its just matter of time till the FBR catches up.
They will instantly know from the amount paid as who is Tax Filer & Non Filer, and then they will be after non filers.

I fill tax returns as nill means no income dudes
Doesn't matter if u have income or no
Just register for free for ntn and return file every year online or printed at fbr office nd u r good to go
