Your registration year would determine the 10 year rule. You car is 2004 means next year 10 years will be completed. And please check the first post of the page and check the CC of your car

so for 10yr old just deduct that amount from the total which is 35% rebate

if next year it'll be 10yr old then then there are 2 more good years for that rule as reg year is 05

m not a tax payer so full tax for my car
though how did they calculated 4500 will be deducted

so its full 17.3k in july or 18.2k after that for me, damn :-#

Brother u are in Peshawar i think , wahan token change nahi hua mere mohtaram bhai , Punjab govt ki chilli milli kisi ne chori kar li hai or unhon ne naraaz ho kar Punjab mein new tax laga diya hai. Previously i have been paying 7400 rs for the past 8-10 years this year new increase has been implemented and raising the tax to 17000 something. since my car is now 10 year old model 17000 -6000 = 11000

Well brother my car is isb registered and i have read some previous comments that there is no changes in Taxes in isb

Well it is strongly recommended to all my brothers that register your car in KPK specially in Peshawar region, no change in taxes and the rates are very normal here but, there is a one huge problem when u have a number of KPK(Peshawar) while traveling out of KPK either its punjab or isb or Hazara Abbotabad, Har police and military check point par aapko rokay gain aur fazol sawal pochay gain and aapkay 20 sai 30 mins waste hongay bakwass karnay mein.

that also depends which car u drive, they mostly stop mehran n corolla's
i dont get stopped even wid curtain on all 4 windows n jet black tint on rear
i have punjab registration n using car in islamabad, pass through check posts daily
if they stop they just peek inside, dont even ask for papers

last time i was stopped at night time by rangers where they were checking all cars, he just checked inside the car, asked for papers, i was gonna hand him but he said if u have the reg book u can go

I have worked in a govt department for more than 10 years and the accounts department never accepted our receipts and did not adjust WHT.

Same is case in private sector company

I think if you have your own company or business you may get it adjusted.

I got about 40000 refunded from my company. Actually it was not refunded but adjusted and I had to pay 40000 less in income tax during the remaining months of the year

Employer can legally do it. It is about the level of facilitation they want to offer to employees about it. I am a payroll guy and have changed 3 jobs so far, have done this is in all 3. Even facilitated people with filing of tax returns.
