Today I paid token of Liana 2006. Total amount paid 3350/_.
I need guidance I paid token of city 09 last year from excise dept in F8. But now ive heard that it is shifted. So is it possible that I pay token from some GPO in isb.
My other query is last year I paid token in sep 2013 but I hav not charged with any penalty or late fee. Was it by chance or it is like that. And what is the penalty of late payment.

Yesterday I paid token for the following two cars at ETO Islamabad

Islamabad Registered
6000+348
Earlier it was 3000+348

Toyota Corolla Altis 1.8

The guy at ETO said that all those paying tokens at Post offices on old rates have to pay the remaining amount next year.

So basically motor vehicle tax is same. They have just revised the income tax amount which is refundable when u will file your tax return.

Well I file return every year and every year I get refund. Not only on motor vehicle tax but also on mobile bills which also deduct income tax.

What you are doing is called a tax deduction. Refund is a totally different thing wherein the govt sends you a check for the refund amount. Do they send you a check for the additional amount you paid for your car tax?

Exactly sir I get the check directly credit into my account. As I file my returns through the accounts of my dept. My accounts dept have details of my salary account so the amount is directly credit into it.

Guys if you are a tax filer you get half the rates but do you also get a refund on the tax??? If so which of the above tax do you get refunded??? Thanks

Thats what the post office is telling you guys.
The main authority is ETO & MRA, they are getting increased token and telling that those who are paying tokens at post offices will have to pay surcharges next year or at the time of transferring their vehicles, which ever comes first.

Getting a cheque from FBR lol well its not easy or even impossible i feel. What all companies do for their employees is they file the return and finance department deducts the filed amount from the annual tax. Thts what we do and doing it from last 7 years.

Last year our company filed 8M tax we paid more than we should have from FBR and what they did paid us after 8 months legal battle but opened our 9 year previous record and made sure some tax penalty imposed on us.

01 to 31 July is the period of token tax collection, but now 31st July is the holiday, can we pay the tax on 02 August without fine?

I'm asking because office hours are reduced and many people find it difficult to pay the tax which takes hours!

Anyway, what's the fine for 1980's (993 cc) car?

In july there is 10% rebate on token tax. In august no rebate. You have to pay normal token. Fine starts in September.
