Carrying cpu on plane

Assalam Walaikum.I want to buy a cpu from Saudi arabia and then i will carry it to Pakistan.Will the custom of Pakistan take money for that?The weight is 23.9 KG and allowed is 23 kg (saudi airline economy).

Actually i used a laptop but now it is failing and i will return to Pakistan in 3 months which is a very long time and i am buying cpu because laptops aren't futureproof

You can construct a pc in Pakistan, not that expensive.
If your laptop does fail, just take out the hard drive and store it untill you buy a new computer

If I was you; I'd dismantle the "Desktop" (Please, don't call it a CPU!), take out the mobo, RAM, disk drive, SSD, PSU, GPU (If any) and leave the chassis behind.

This will dramatically reduce your luggage weight.

You can easily buy desktop chassis locally. Good quality ones from reputed brands go for like 4-6k which is quite reasonable whereas used ones go for as low as 1,000 rupees.

You can easily sneak in laptop in your baggage . CPU will cause you to pay hefty custom duty on it.

Bro my experience with laptops is not good.They aren't reliable and i am a gamer so laptop is not for gaming.You can get a cpu for cheaper price and it is reliable.You can replace gpu, ram and pretty much anything you want.

The problem with gaming laptops is that they overheat; a LOT.

When it comes to desktops, 75c GPU temperature is considered EXTREME. On the contrary; laptop GPUs often exceed 90c in hot climates; which means they tend to have a very VERY short lifespan, most go belly up after 3-5 years.

Plus there's the small screen, hefty weight (Comparable to USFF desktops), loud cooler noise, expensive parts and even slight dust accumulation will spell doom on the hardware, as it operates near boiling point temperatures as it is.

I wouldn't recommend gaming laptops in Pakistan, or even USFF desktops.

@SER_GTR is a veteran gamer he knows the local gaming machine scene in KHI & LHR markets

with so much variety of components available across IT markets in KHI, LHR, RWP etc it is not very difficult to custom built a desktop box for gaming.

Idea is to bring parts unassembled...CPU MB GPU RAM SSD HDD PSU Alone...

You will find a Good Gaming Case Here in PK....pack The Stuff...remove unnecessary boxing and reduce weight and bring

you can assemble it back and find a good case in good price here.....it will shorten your weight and ease of bringing parts

Guys give him information if he can bring the CPU or not instead of advising to purchase from Pakistan. There could be numerous reasons for him to bring the CPU from abroad.

you need to get it packed for air transportation through some pro packers. if you don do that the whole box will be like scattered cutlery in a wash tub.

DESKTOP PCs are not allowed as cabin baggage without checking for the boot up to stand by & shut down for security reasons. just like laptops

As I Suggested...Get The DAMN Thing Disassembled And Bring It In Parts....Else CUSTOMS Might Not Allow Or Might Bother You...

Get One RTX 20808GB Single GPU instead of 2....
