Car's running document lost

My car's running document is lost. What shall I do now? The car is on lease and on bank's name at the moment. They are going to transfer it to my name in a few days and my brother says they will have to make a new running document anyway so it is not a problem. Is it really so?

Bank has the original book and only the document I keep in car is lost.

Yeah I asked a couple of other people and they said the same that it won't be a problem and I will be issued a new book and running paper anyway when vehicle is transfered in my name.

that were original documents, bank dont keep it with them they just transfer vehicle to its name and hand over all to owner.

so u lost it original papers, means lowering down ur vehicle value and problem for selling too..

plz do confirm again from ur bank. and also inform me if differs.

upto 2003 - 2004 banks normally register the car in their name and keep the original book with them. they just give the customer a authority letter and copy of the registration book to keep it with them in the car. but now bank just want the customers to register car in their name and mark HYPOTICATION "HP" in respective bank's favor. and the original book stays with the customer.

The car is in a company's name who has leased this vehicle from bank. I purchased this car from that company and I have the authority letter. Either they or the bank has original book because the one in my car was just one PAGE which cannot be called a book.

Dont worry,contact your company.The more you ask ppl,the more you will confuse.I think you should report An FIR or something.If books is with them,its with them.You will get it anyway.

Duplicate copy of running document can not be issued,for this u will have to issue a new registration book and vehicle can be transferred without this missing page.

I have recently lost [perhaps stolen by some Idiot ] running paper (means only one page). Car is registered in Karachi. My questions are :-

1. Another duplicate or original running paper can be got issued from Registration Authority ? If so its procedure ?

2. Do I need to register an FIR ?

3. Could this running paper be illegally used by someone ?
