CB350 rebuild at home

What happened to the original silencers of the CB350?

nothing happaned so bad with them but they dont suit anymore to a cafe racer look .they are just straight maybe suit for brat style or stranded stock bike.

well when i wanted to buff my engine i meet that guy . found him very hardworking person and always accept big challenges i saw his work i heard his stories he worked in karachi pinidi lahore and finaly came back to his father shop 1 day i asked him if the foot peg can be brass he was like hotay to nai hain par app k liye ho jaingay phir kia he did it but unfortunately the headlight ring was not accepting brass the parts are still at his shop .he is baddly injured while chroming some heavy machine and i don't wanna bother him. so let see when he finish my work

you will lose "THAT" cb350 sound if you go for a custom exhaust which are usually without a baffle.
Khair it your choice.
If you want looks... go for 2 in 1 custom free flow exhaust. Looks killer.....given that the manifold and silencer is hugging the bike...... what most custom exhaust builders do here is that they simply bend pipe as little as possible and to reduce hassle keep the pipes a good couple of inches away from the frame or engine etc......... they look ugly........ Do it right and its awesome.

What you are saying is......these foot pegs are actually coated with brass.....like brass plating...... I thought they were galvanized which sometimes gives a goldenish shade rather than silver.

I can safely claim the longest time I have spend on any thread on Pakwheels is yours Jag DIY thread Sulaiman Sahab.
It took me a good 7 hours to go through each word of each of your post....... the thread is extremely informative and well written.
Aaj kal ke threads are more about opinions rather than facts...... your's is a breath of fresh air

Sir, thank you for your kind words. WOW you actually read the whole thing! I have to say you have a lot of patients. Thank you for your words of appreciation. I have a huge respect for folks who do their own work. I am sure there may be more but for now I have ony seen @basic in Faislabad, @yasira in Peshawar, @zunny who did a cruise control retrofit in a civic - these guys are true "do-it-yoursefers". The rest of the guys just give their ride to a mechanic, snap a few pictures and .......

A detailed write-up can only be done if the work is done personally. Writing about someone else’s work is very hard.

You are right about "nazar" :). It is history now. and I have forgotten it. All comments are most welcome. After all we are a community and it is a lot like friends chatting over a cup of tea

abbasi sab gs500 owner has also did the same effort what we are doing and next people are cumming soon to real Do it your self . i see few more guys doing but not quality work honestly speaking

am not good writer at all but i would say my work may speak its own words .

my wiring is almost complete yesterday i called an electrician friend to check if i did the correct connection. this is because i got few unique parts installed so am not taking any risk .Thanks to Almighty Allah connection were perfect. indicators and speedometers left only.

Oh yes. Sorry I forgot to mention the @mmyt with the Suzuki GS500 and the @akmel8 - Kawasaki 550. Both superb jobs. Basically what I was saying that these people doing true DIY jobs make up less that 1% of Pakwheelers. In fact some of the named gents are even doing top quality paint jobs themselves including you. @basic does his own sand blasting. You gents are truly worthy of the highest respect.

Good luck with your electrical jobs. I have full faith in your abilities to get the bike roaring on Peshawar roads.

The pleasure was all mine sir. There must have been something on your thread that I spent 7 hrs on it. Thing is there is usually always something lacking in a thread...... usually its the detailed write-up........ or not enuff step by step pictures......... and sometimes sheer honesty Your thread got everything, I mean everything....even videos...... yet still you are humble person......when ppl are that good..... they have an attitude ...an ego...... personally I think when one's that good its OK to be a snob....... but you aint.....
