After using A5 2016 for 3 days here's my brief review about the device :-
1. Looks and Size : Very good,slim,handy and lighweight with Samsung latest signature metal and glass frame. It's a pleasent change over typical Samsung rectangular shape device. Feel of metal and 2.5 d gorilla glass 4 at front and back is nice but at the same time prone to slip. So far no bumpers and covers are available in the market (at least in Gujranwala ) so has to be used with extreme care
2. Display : 421 ppi FHD AMOLED display is crisp and brilliant with nice viewing angles.
3. Camera : 13 mp front cam is good but not outstanding . Front is 5 and just ok.
4. Software: Phone runs 5.1 out of the box with touchwiz. Software is very well optimized with no lag in apps opening and transition. UI is nice and doesn't feel dull or boring.
Battery : 2900 mah is not a big deal these days but seriously this device never runs out of the juice. I've forgot carrying my charger along. Minimum it gives 24 hours with around 7-8 hrs SOT. Thanks to fast charge it need 60-70 minutes for 0-100%
Well one might think this device is overpriced and frankly speaking i was also of the same opinion but after using it for few days i feel it's not only hardware which matters but how well software is optimized.

This is the only 2GB RAM Lenovo option in your budget. Its released few months ago. The camera is not too good in low lights (not bad either), rest its great as many of my friends are using it. Every other mobile shop person is using it. You also get either an 8GB usb, selfie stick or Bluetooth speakers with it as a gift along with some scratch card for lucky draw (LOL).

Its live demo is available at many shops, especially the Lenovo official store Islamabad (PC House Blue Area). Try it, if camera quality is satisfactory for you, then you can go for it. It runs 4G on both sims btw.

Microsoft Lumia 640XL advanced camera features overview.

The phablet costs just $185, so i think this info is worth sharing, as i have been using it specifically for its excellent camera capabilities.

It features an excellent 13MP Carl Ziess optics rear camera and 5MP front camera, both full HD video recording supported. It offers some very useful "additional" manual camera controls which are not available in most Android phones, like

1) HDR (Rich capture) with Dynamic flash. It takes photo with flash on and lets you manually adjust flash intensity, reduce it or even completely remove flash from photo in "in post processing (anytime after photo is taken)" and dynamic flash can be re-adjusted anytime later too. HDR is also adjustable in post processing. Excellent feature.

2) Manual shutter speeds from 1/16000 upto 4 seconds on rear camera, and from 1/16000 upto 1/8 seconds on front camera. This is mostly found in DSLRs and a key feature in pro photography. With this, it can take bright photos (long exposure) in very dark or blur free photos even in the most challenging situations. Excellent feature.

3)In pro mode, the stock camera app shows live camera perimeters (ISO, shutter speeds, EV) in real time for optimum adjustments, as higher ISO may result in noisy photos or slower shutter speeds may result in camera shake or motion blur.

4)Infinity focus for distant objects and also manual focus for Macros, to create depth of field of your own liking.

5)Exposure bracketing feature, common feature but still many phones lack it in stock camera app.

6)Digital video stabilisation to reduce camera shakes.

7)Living images.

No matter how hard they try on the hardware front. Windows will continue to suck until and unless they bring in some valuable apps heck even basic apps are just web browser links and thats just terrible. And that new Lumia 950 has awful software bugs, even a budget android phone performs better then it.
Talking about the camera well android phones are fantastic, check out the dual pixel technology of Galaxy S7, you will be amazed how well it performs in low light.

So all in all their just no need of windows phones, they have nothing unique and I mean who would want to leave android or ios for this.

Yes using the Stock ROm but rooted it to get rid of all the S apps as they are taking to much space.

Hi everyone
I have a galaxy s6 edge which unfortunately got water damaged.
Some how the guy who had my phone tried to get it fixed it here in turkey but no one could fix it here .

So now my s6 edge 99% of times starts up and gets stuck on the first screen which shows the model number ,but onece in a blue moon it will start and work for 2-4 minutes before it reboots to same logo .
I was told the processor is faulty hence need a new processor for the phone which isn't available .

I was thinking of buying a live demo unit mother board and transferring the GSM parts to from this motherboard .is it possible ?

Or if someone could get me the price of used motherboard in Pakistan will owe you big time .

Will save battery but weird performance. It's not advisable to manipulate cpu speed , governor and kernel settings.

Successfully undervolted i9500 now the overall performance has improved , very low over heating when using while charging compared to high over heating while using even without charger , beside that battery timing expected to improve , that will need few days to be confirmed , and above all charging time has significantly improved.

I did it on my s3[emoji14]it improved battery but man the performance suffered badly. I hated how the phone used to wake up after pressing the lock/unlock button[emoji14]

It's possible.
It was done in Pakistan, saw it on another forum.

A guy had a black S6 edge with broken screen that wasn't turning on.
He bought a Gold live demo unit, switched the parts over (except the screen) and it was fine.
Keep in mind the phone was still detected as a black one and the back cover on a live demo unit says 'LIVE DEMO UNIT NOT FOR SALE SM-G925X'
Other than that, it's completely possible.

Live Demo unit has no GSM or Sim related compatibility, so most probably its not possible.

I will ask about it and let you know in a day. Everything is possible, but the repairs may not long lasting or reliable.

A lot of it, but i tell you more easier and effective way.

Tweak the RAM management to the non agressive level, to the point where the RAM is almost full most of the time and also uninstall greenify. In this way, most of your frequently used apps will stay pre-loaded in RAM for faster access.

Cpu uses significantly less power and clock speed when it loads app from RAM. When you greenify or kill it, it uses significantly more power, time and clock speed to load it.

The above tweak is utilised in very latest Samsungs and their battery performance and snappiness is the evidence of it.

Now, I no longer work for on these things, but i explained the principle. It will improve responsiveness, as well as battery timings.

I have camera samples that I took from it, but there are mixed up with so many other camera samples, so i might send the wrong camera ones. If i ask my friend, he will send hazy photos with smudgy camera lens which does not reflect true quality.

Daylight is very good. Low light is fine if you keep hands very stable.

Best check it yourself.
