It's not that simple, my friend. You can't install custom ROMs on any MTK SoC! You're forever stuck with whatever OS you've got because Mediatek isn't going to release their source code anytime soon, if ever!

Qualcomm chips is the reason Xiaomi got where it's today. That and of course their policy of unlocked bootloaders on all phones. For example, my Mi A1 (Tissot) is currently running Android 9 and hasn't received an update in months. It's obsolete in the eyes of Xiaomi but I can install Lineage OS on it anytime and start receiving security and OS updates again, as it's officially supported by Lineage!

I believe he's person like me, I've no issues with updates, like if a phone is on android 7 or 8, but it should be snappy and fast enough for day to day needs
There are many people who still don't use custom roms..
Btw for a person who gonna install custom ROM later, it's very important...

I am facing a strange issue. I have a Samsung A20 and its working well but when it comes to .charging, it does not charge at all when the phone is on. However when i turn off the phone, it charges normally!!! have tried other chargers but the issue remains same. What could be the issue? has anyone faced this issue?

I have A20, i admit it has quite a few software bugs but i have not faced this one. If in warranty, you can take it to Samsung service center and discuss the issue.

The specs are not too great as compared to note 8 pro. hope they are able to at least reduce dimensions. This has to be priced equally or lower than note 8 pro

Comparing this to realme 6 pro

128GB/8GB price is same in India (According to NDTV) for both mobiles

They should have bought a telephoto camera in pro max variant

Realme 6 Pro has a better screen (Max Brightness, Refresh Rate and Touch Response)

In the end it'll be to which company used better post processing and camera lens

Also, for all BBK electronics (Realme, Oppo, Vivo) phones a sweet price drop after first month of launch should be expected

Great performance and battery life, I think best in it's price range (Medium tier performance at entry level price), build quality is also good but like all phones with glass like plastic back it can pick up scratches and scuffs easily so a transparent protector on back is necessary.

720p screen but color os is using some anti aliasing / font smoothing technique so it doesn't bother unless you really try to look for it, on the other hand it improves performance and battery life.

If going for 128GB version than rather go for realme 5s as it offers 48MP camera.

Guys i need some help. We bought an iphone x from a foreign country. Brought it here and used it for a few days with a local sim then paid the complete tax before end of 60 days grace period.

The issue began the day it was approved by pta. As u guys might know that it has a physical sim slot and an e-sim option. So the physical sim stopped working on the same day we got confirmation of pta approval.

Both imei no.s show as approved on pta website but only the e-sim works. Physical sim says no network coverage. We have visited pta office in person and they did nothing for us, just said that we should contact the carrier. Also created a complaint on citizen portal which was immediately closed by pta saying that it is approved.

Phone was bought by paying complete amount in the foreign country.

Any idea what can we do or what is the issue?
