I have booked 5 seater at Changan City Sales after thoroughly checking out the units at display. I have been using Civic X for last 4 years and I can clearly see the difference in quality with units at display.
Firstly, the metal sheet. On knocking you can feel its not thin. If you slightly press Civic, dent will occur. Back of civic has 3 spots just because I closed the lid a bit hard!
Secondly, the infotainment. Its not as fast as I would have liked. But coming from Civic X, its like a shift from Pentium II to i5 technology.
Third, the features like Remote start, remote close, voice commands, powered seat adjustment, ventilated heated seats. I had to put 2 inch foam in civic to make it comfortable. Compared to that, seats are really really comfortable in X7.
Drawbacks, I have two.
1. Interior color. I agree its too bright. I think after 3 or 4 years once its worn out, I might change it to something darker.
2. In this price, I would have liked lane assist.
But overall, I can clearly see value for money (esp after new Civic 11 gen). Considering the car prices, I wont be surprise to see a jump in prices soon. For me its around 65. And I think it will go there a lot sooner.
Also while booking the car, I asked the staff how many units have been booked? They told me more than 100 units at their dealership (City sales one, though its also their biggest showroom) only!
