I am a big fan of the x70 but x7 might be a better buy if you can get it quicker. X70 deliveries are nowhere in sight.

yes BUT we dont know how good is X7 vs X70 as far as features. X70 has a huge sales success in the background BUT yes outside Pakistan. PKDM X70 vs CBU is yet to be analyzed as far as the built quality. same goes for the X7.

All valid points. I would add that from pictures alone, the interior of X7 looks like a clear downgrade from X70's plush cabin. On the other hand, X7 has size and power on its side.
CKD quality of both vehicles will be a toss up.

Could be a huge success if they launch it around 5-5.2mil with 7 seat configuration, and 4.8-5mil with 5 seats.
As long as it undercuts hyundais and kias it has a potential to capture a good market.
Glory 580 is pretty pathetic for the price tbh. So the 7 seater market in 5mil is really open

True, they undercut city and yaris with Alsvin and they'll have to do the same with X7, especially since it has way more competitors in the crossover market.

5 mil range will be too close to Kia/Hyundai.

Don't think it'll sell much at that price point.

It's a good SUV, go for aggressive market capture at 4 mil.

As much as I do wish the same. But it would only be wishful thinking.
When a glory 580 pro is being invoiced at 4.9mil. What will stop them pricing their car equal, or a little higher.

Observing our market, I personally think, as long as they can undercut the Sportage FWD variant they have a pretty good chance of getting high orders. That can even be increased with short delivery times

Just to add to your comments, Alsvin captured market because of under 3 Million price point. Still many people prefer a Toyota badge and Yaris or maybe few people going for City. Under 3 Million price point and sedan is mostly grabbed by our middle class families.

Anything above 5 Million changes the situation and basically the buyer perspective about the options available in the market. In other words, the person looking for a 5 Million plus vehicle is seen stretching their budget higher and get into something with more brand identity and recognition.

I am NOT saying Changan being Chinese and X7 might be a bad vehicle BUT crossing 5 Million changes dynamics. I fear anything above 5 Million and around 5.6 Million might be a tough sell.

Hey guys. This oshan x7 is a bigger car. Way bigger then x70 and sportage. So even if they price it at glory or x70 level it should be a good deal.

Remember, its size is equal to sorento/fortuner. The only downside is low powered engine.

On the other hand, Sorento 2.4 is 169hp and petrol fortuner is 167hp.

As a 5 seater, I don't see this competing against Sportage/X70 at the same price point. The interior cabin quality is a clear downgrade. I'm not a fan of the excessive piano black interior, it's a fingerprint magnet. Also the rims are extremely ugly and outdated.

The success of this will obviously depend on price, it has to undercut the competition, but with a longer wheelbase I think it's a no brainer to offer only 7 seats. That's the only segment without much competition and X7 can really succeed there by undercutting Sorento and offering 7 seats to customers around the Sportage price point.

The second success factor is DELIVERY. We have seen so many 'launches' yet there is no car on the ground. Not a single MG HS CKD, not a single Proton X70 CKD, no CKDs for Haval/BAIC etc. Sab hawaii baatein. So the single more critical factor is to make this car available. If a genuine customer can go to the showroom, order this car and receive delivery within 1-2 months, it is already a success.
