Dark colour looks way better but Pakistanis have some weird obsession with beige interior. Changan converted changed the dark interior of Alsvin to beige and have done the same with X7.

Also the centre console seems to matte coloured, looks like brushed aluminium, not sure. But it is way better than the piano black being given here which looks cheap and will be hard to maintain.

Another advantage of the black interior over beige is that center console has a brushed metal look instead of tacky piano black.

This is really impressive! Seems value to money! Better than MG, Haval, Sorento, Fortuner.... I think price will be higher than 6.2 million for 7 seater variant.

Say good bye to Oshan X7 then.

The seven seater has to be less than 5 to 5.2 million to have any meaningful sales.

Else, it’ll just sell in very small quantities almost negligible .

If they can undercut Glory Pro in price which is 7 seater, it’ll be the best deal.

Just be aware the OSHAN X7 has tilt steering but NO telescopic. I mean this is one the feature they removed on PKDM. You are paying 5 million plus and you dont have a basic option which should be there at this price point. I am still in process of getting more information but found out about steering situation little while ago. I hope the info is wrong.

Glory has very cheap quality in reality.

Glory looks promising all shashkas. But paint finish price cut here and there. It looks very cheap.

Looking at Alsvin quality that is par with Yaris and City. Even BRV has better fit and finish so imo comparing Glory with Changan/Oshan is like comparing Q mobile and OPPO/ 1 plus phones

Wow.
I would love to see how many people, amongst those claiming 6+ mil to be 'reasonable', will actually go and buy it at that price; Rather than only comment and deprive even the actual buyers due to the poor VFM.

There's a limit, a brand image, the quality: everything matters. Plus, from the pictures alone, the interior doesn't look too premium (or anything extra-ordinary above MG or Proton)
Also after the MG fiasco, I'm sure the buyers will be a little more conscious compared to the past.

I still maintain, feature loaded top trim in 7 seater configuration has to be within 5.5-5.6mil ex-factory to actually have any mention worthy sales numbers. Otherwise they should be prepared to see a sale number that could even be below 1200/year too.

Price rumored again as between 5.5 and 6.5 million. Both 5 and 7 seat configuration will be offered . There is already a lot of buzz among people who witnessed the internal launch , quality of refinement, century old headunit with respect to the possible launch price.

Again things will be clear on 16th Feb on day of launch. Seems same like Alsvin, they might reveal specifications on 16th but price with respect to trims will be held till mid March. I hope they declare everything on the day of launch / reveal.

I've been told seats are very comfortable , that is mainly because master is the oem seats manufacturer for other cars in Pakistan including OEM for many other parts too for Toyota Suzuki kia etc

Which means that they should have significant cost advantage in this area already, yet the customer doesn't get any benefit with the Alsvin and most likely won't get any with X7. Fully expect a 6 million launch here and then they will claim they are disrupting the market. From the quality that can observed from the pictures, I'd be very unwilling to part with 5 million plus to get a cheap looking plasticky Chinese interior with a weird Chinese infotainment screen.

Did some surfing, and found the only direct comparisons available from China.

Auchan PLUS: 4730/1870/1720mm, and the wheelbase 2786mm. The pre-sale price of 79,900-135,900 yuan.
Vs
Glory 580 Star edition 1.5T. L*W*H(mm)
4700*1845*1715 and Wheelbase(mm)
2780. This starts at 79,900 to 116,000(flagship trim). The one we have in pakistan is similar to 580 CVT luxury trim in China (150hp tune). And almost similar features.

Both manufacturers, dfsk and changan, are going by (almost) same strategy in Pakistan. Updated/facelift exteriors and pre-facelift/old interiors. Both vehicles have 1.5T engines and 7 seat configuration (though tbh the 3rd row in Glory looks more comfortable - while from local Changan's video it seems a little too low). So similar tax brackets.

All of this further reinforces the stance that for X7 plus to be good value, it SHOULD NOT exceed 110% of the price Glory 580 pro is being offered. Which again comes to the figure of 5.5-5.7mil for 7 seater glory competitor.

Or let's see if changan make the same mistake as Alsvin: copying from Honda Atlas(the bad trend setter - no one has been able to intercept) by getting bookings without price reveal. And further pricing above or at-par with market leaders (like they did by placing Alsvin almost at par with Yaris).

Proton X70, a much better and premium 5 seater costs around 4.8 million I think.

No way Oshan can cost above it. Would fail.

And again, for 7 seater, it has to match Glory Pro in price. Both dfsk and Changan compete in the Chinese world.

Changan being much bigger group in Pakistan should be able to offer this suv at cheaper or equal price to Glory.

At max very little increase even if there is.

Android Auto/Apple Car Play did not even exist when Android 4.4 (kitkat) used to be around. So you can rest assured there is no Android auto/carplay capability.

Price increase will likely apply to X70. Even then, unlikely it will exceed 5.4m or so. I think Changan will be thinking that they have the bigger car and hence it is better, when the X70 is way more premium, with Volvo engineering under the hood and a successful sales record in China and Malaysia. From the overpriced Alsvin, I feel that they will overprice Oshan and will use Sorento as a reference for 'undercutting' and 'disrupting' the market.

I already received two messages from Changan officials and one of the them is the higher up in a Product development team. They are NOT happy with the criticism before the launch. The guy was telling me they developed this headunit for Pakistani market and especially made. My point was.. you did an amazing job but you loaded that hardware with a decade old operating system. Overall the guy is NOT happy and kept on saying that I am confused and making other confused. Lol.
