I went through the post and it was pretty restrained and reasonable, all observations were valid and without any undue criticism. I don't see any reason for them to be so upset about it.

I would even say that this should be published on the pakwheels blog but that will attract unnecessary heat, especially since nothing is official yet. So maybe there should be an article after the launch, once these observations have been accepted as facts.

Either way, do keep us posted on their hate mail lol.

I'm pretty sure he means we integrated all of the car's features into this crappy headunit and then we did the painstaking work of translating all the Chinese bits into English. Localization achieved.

I also 'feel' this will be the case.
But then they should also be ready for the 'disruptive' response and sales figures: matching that of a Sorento.
As its the only car in KIA line up not influenced by any dollar rate parity or government taxes. Lol. Meaning its got back to back discounts, and still stock is lying around for some trim levels

Chinese market sales numbers from 2020 to 2021:

MG HS: 49,000 --> 79,000
Oshan X7 (not X7 plus): 86,000 --> 51,000
Geely Boyue (Proton X70): 240,000 --> 224,000
Haval H6: 376,000 --> 370,000

Brother no way Oshan is like OnePlus.

Considering the stats above, I think Proton X70 is like the premium Chinese suv alongside obviously Haval H6.

And Oshan if it gets priced above X70 for 5 seater (even though it’s bigger), it’ll be a hard sell.

If I’m in the market for Chinese SUVs, a market which is already far too small here, I won’t spend on an overpriced product.

Changan has backing of a large group in Pak even company’s own investment.

They have to actually disrupt the market by making it affordable.

Do we have any confirmation regarding the launch/display date for this vehicle?
Since I was hearing of 11th Feb earlier, but it proved to be false. Read your comment somewhere that it's 16th. Is anything actually confirm?

Just saw a video of a white Changan Uni K roaming on the streets of Karachi. Checked it's registration number via online verification, turns out it's imported by Changan itself with 2.0L Turbo 4-cylinder engine 230HP. Any news of it launching here? (I know it's X7's thread but couldn't find Uni K's own thread so sorry in advance).

Changan probably wants to drum up hype for the company, just like it did by importing and displaying UniT around the time Alsvin launched. Chances of it launching here are slim to none because its claim to fame is its semi autonomous driving capability which is pretty useless in Pak.
