a friend transferred his 03 civic's registration in AEV series to QK series of islamabad in 2010 through using contacts

I have a Faisalabad registered 96 Corolla and m living in Islamabad.And not even stopped once by Police at check posts in Pindi and Islamabad and asking for car registration documents by them is a thing far off....

Secondly, I have seen vehicles auctioned by the security agencies whose registration numbers were transferred from Balochistan etc to Islamabad so that those vehicles are auctioned at a good price in public auction.I was interested in buying a double cabin Toyota Hilux, when I checked its registration from Islamabad, I was told that this vehicle was earlier registered in Balochistan and then it was re registered in Islamabad after getting an NOC from that particular district in Balochistan.But the original file was still with the ETO office of that particular district in Balochistan.For them anything is possible in this country...But for you and me everything is impossible in this country.

Last week I got my Karachi registered 2005 Corolla transferred to Islamabad number. I completed the procedure as explained earlier.

1. NOC from Karachi ETO for transfer to other city with tax paid upto June 2012 of car with original file.
2. Presented the NOC to Islamabad ETO office with CNIC & NOC from Karachi surrendering the original yellow number plates.
3. Paid Rs. 2000 + 1500 ( Govt receipt for 3000 only ) tax paid upto Dec 2012 and new plates with Islamabad number.

In terms of Govt security agencies vehicles - 90% of the vehicles are NCP and only 1 A-4 size sheet containing make model colour, (yes colour is also mentioned) engine number, engine capacity in cc, chassis number, department & sec head contact details with rank & stamp are available to respective ETO Office. minimum life is 15 years (no matter roadworthy or off-road) for such vehicles after which they come to a pool assigned new verifiable numbers tracking back to POOL Office and sold to public.

One A$$ wipe member can verify this statement am sure.

Thats great.Have you submitted the original file with Islamabad ETO or its with you?As in Islamabad they still keep original file and do not return it to owner.
And how about Punjab Government?Do ETOs in Punjab also grant NOC easily or not?

i need some guidance from you, i have a baleno 2005 model car with bank duplicate registration book, now when i submit it to excise office for transfer of ownership, they will issue me new smart book.

plz tell me the word "Duplicate" will be mentioned on new book or not ?

also give me number of any agent to whom i discuss about charges and process.

1. I submitted the file @ Islamabad ETO and can request for return after 6 months or later. The file is stamped with 'Re-registration U/S 53/2K' a computer print out of details and ETO KHI NOC is attached into it. The book have OLD number & New number both printed in it.

2. walk to ETO office and ask the question for intercity transfer - asking does not cost money.

3. For duplicate stamp on new Smart book chances are 50 - 50 as the smart book is issued to Owner only and you are the owner. Keep fingers crossed.
