Charade g11 4efe conversion

i have a near mint g11 1986 charade..

the issue is that although the engine is good.. but there are electrical, self, alternator problems that keep recurring.

and new self alternator cant be found..

so what do you guys think of a 4efe conversion?
i want more power and reliability above all else.

new mounts
new axels
engine
gearbox
radiator

what else do you guys think is needed?
who to get swap done from?
any MINT 4efe for sale?

the other option is to sell this charade and get a mint khyber...(impossible to find).. love the charades rock solid body though

and what will be the costs involved?
also due to busy schedule car can be made free only for 2 days at max.. swap possible in this time?

What do you mean new stuff cannot be found - if you rebuild them correctly those items will last for a very very long time.

The alternator is the regular one like the Coure - the starter is reverse drive like the Mehran - but is easily found - look in the Lawrence Road market. - plenty of them there.

i would like to get the entire wiring redone..
this was a diesel converted to petrol..
engine is cb23 of anda charade.

currently the self takes a lot of load.. turns very slowly when the engine is hot. had this issue last year too.. the self was rebuilt/serviced.. and that lasted a year.. now problem is here again..
on cold engine car starts in half self on petrol..

there was lot of wiring ends that have become loose.. or wires have frayed.. cut.. rotten..

keep atleast 3 or 4 day in minimum for a proper work....

4efe will be a good option

most of the time our local electric workers mess up all things

this will replace almost every thing in engine bay.....

your all engine wires will be changed which get into trouble most of the time

buying uncut wires and you will enjoy it

wiring the charade G11 is the simplest job you will ever take up, the best practice is to remove the front bumper, battery etc, and remake/repair all the damaged loom(s) - they are very simple. (the original wires are tiny - best replace them with nicer ones - same colour of course) - SOLDER THEM PROPERLY

The problems you are facing will not be solved by engine replacement - you will then be surrounded by multiple complex problems and end up being thrown around like a ball between mechanic electrician, and A/C mechanic.

To sort out the under dash problem - remove the whole dashboard and work from there - everything will be exposed and you can repair them properly - even the HVAC unit.

also had the alarm system removed along with its mess of wires... it had become useless..

hehe - I was gifted a desk mount lathe machine from a freind.. its quite a piece

fixing any model of charade (except the G10 gear lever) is very easy

i have worked on 4ft to 8ft lathes.. really expensive..
