I have recently bought a Charade 88 having stock petrol engine, the engine was swapped by last owner with its stock engine. I am facing serious vibration issues & rough idle in the car, the car vibrates really much and once RPM is increased, the small vibration is still felt on gear lever and in the body of the car as well as when we increase the RPM to control vibrations, the car starts moving without the need of acceleration. The fan has been converted on auto and thermostat valve is currently not available in the car, I am planning to install it soon.
The carburetor was serviced about 20 days ago, butterfly work was also done, new spark plugs NGK Iridium BKR6EIX were installed, new air filter was installed, new point was also installed. When we take out the plugs from engine, the plugs show orange color and no carbon deposits are shown on them but silencer/exhaust pipe of car is showing carbon deposits, car is throwing water/steam in starting for 5-8 minutes. Engine mountings of left & right side are replaced with new mounts aswell.
Further, the sound of its tappets is quiet high when we push the paddle, the pick of car is really good but fuel consumption is a pain, the car consumption is quiet high in short routes/city traffic area, while in non stop/ low braking routes of about 30-45 minutes, car is showing decent average of roughly 10-11Kms/liter.
All experts are requested to please guide me what could be the cause of these vibrations and rough idling and how it can be cured?
