First check if the motor is doing it's job fine. And explore the relay option as well. I don't think those rods are at fault.

If you need changing the rods in any case, try getting a manual and finding the exact dimensions required. Kharadia can make it. Importing may not be possible, as even in those countries, parts of this model may be non existent.

I rechecked the motor, it runs good (without load) but I can see little sparking from the hole, is it normal?

How did you get your wiper assembly repaired? Do you remember the mechanic's name/address?

Mine didn't work in the rain. Then one day i saw another G10 operating with driver side wiper only. That was a good idea for rest of it's stay with me. It was used only for office 4Km away from home. So i never felt a need to mess with wipers.

All daihatsu cb series engine look same you can't just judge from picture try finding engine no on engine block

your body shell looks like a G11 that was diesel or was a turbocharged 2 door car, your engine looks like a CB37 from a G100. Does the picture of plugs on the air cleaner show a twin electrode plug?

I see the fresh air injector reed valve here, does it have the EGR unit on the other side of the engine? does the carburettor have hot water pipes on top for the thermal choke assembly?

speaking of the fresh air reed, make sure that the reed is sealed in one direction (should blow towards exhaust but not back) - if not then exhaust gases will be shooting into the air cleaner box.

The reed's job was to add fresh oxygen into the catalytic converter to make sure it remained super hot.

Dear Xulfiqar Bhai
At what step of trouble shooting do you place opening of a carburetor to address frequent intermittent start up problems in charade on petrol? someone approached me for advice. In my reckoning if the trouble is off and on, its related more to dirty petrol, carbon on point of the contact breaker perhaps etc. I would rather go for these things like changing fuel filter that has never been changed in years and flush the tank and change the CB etc. the other guys mech insists opening and servicing the carb. I have advised AGAINST until as last resort. Please put me right if I am wrong. The car is running on petrol fine other than intermittent problems of starting and slight rough run at best.

I'm sorry to disturb you again, please explain this thing. Do you suggest making motor more powerful so that it can move the machine? Is this the purpose of relay???

It is not just G-10, I've seen hundreds of cars with this issue but it's unsafe to do so and I have to go to remote areas as well. If I'm driving only on the known roads in day light, then even half wiper is enough for me at slow speed.

If the car and motor, both are in good shape, then I don't think it's less than the petrol variant. The biggest plus is much better fuel economy (if the engine is properly tuned) and if you're worried about resale then again I don't think it'd be a big issue. Like you're willing to purchase it now, someone else will do the same after you try to sell it later.

Yes sure its lahore registered, 84 model 94 quota, well maintained orignal diesel engine sealed packed, body is good from the outside only doors are showered all are orignal and geniune paint...
AC is very good as i drive it too, its very good in riiding too..

If everything is really like what you're saying, then I'd say you SHOULD buy it in 180K. If it's all okay means no mechanical work required, then even 190K would be reasonable. Pictures could help. You need to take good care of it, like good engine oil & filter on time, avoid overheating and visiting only good mechanics etc, you'll love driving a diesel charade. Best of luck

Parts are NOT 5x expensive than Toyota. I just saw a 85 charade diesel got general engine overhaul and the cost including mechanic + machinist (Kharadia) + transport/hauling + spare-parts was 23,250 rupees only. Charade TD is cheaper to run, fuel economy is up to 20 kmpl in city (depending on how light you are on gas paddle). And the most important, if everything is good, then you shouldn't be worried about it at all! These engines are build to last up to 200,000 kilometers if you don't abuse it.

Now talking about Nissan Sunny 1993, this is what comes in Prime Minister's Taxi scheme in 1992-93 era. This car is also very good and newer than Charade but few are there with diesel engine in good condition. Now if you find a good diesel Nissan 1993, I don't think if you can buy it in less than 300k (unless the car is badly ruined by accident or rust). Don't even think of Nissan Sunny 1993 in 200K!
