I think you had recommended that man somewhere else in these threads. I'd visited that guy an year ago, (hopefully that would be the same guy) and had given your references but he was like 'Sir naam to pata nai lekin is gari ka kaam b kr loon ga', i discussed couple of issues regarding my ride with him and he suggested me to visit some other time as he will have to buy the parts from Saddar or some other market. I didn't visit him again as he wasn't looking expert mechanic of chevy.

Regarding 1st ever chevy car, this isn't the case with you only rather all of us here are riding our first chevys " class="emoji" alt="">

Regarding missing issue, there might be different reasons, most probably old plugs, tuning (if car's tuning is due), bad quality plug cables, etc. Another popular reason is when the water goes inside distributer after car wash or raining. Visit Yasir in Pirwadaee mor or Shahzad in I-10 for the solution, that's not a big issue. Contact details of both Yasir & Shahzad are mentioned above.

Feel free to ask or share any info regarding chevy here.

I think you're talking about Muzammal, that has already been mentioned in this thread at top in detail with the name of "Muzammal Chevrolet Centre". Yeah I'd experienced it couple of times but didn't find him as much expert as "Yasir and Shamim" are, who're a distance of around 2 kms from chohr chowk. The worst thing i experienced with him is that he always ask you to leave your car at his workshop, which is never acceptable. Still I'll prefer him over local mechanics but not over yasir & shamim (for mechanical) and Shahzad for electrical work.

ok thanks alot, N yeah he did the same as today i visited him for first time n he said leave your car and get it tomorrow and I obviously rejected that prestigious offer

btw the thing is, my car keeps hesitating or having hiccups on low rpms in 1st, 2nd and sometimes in 3rd gear
but whats even more worse is it happens randomly. sometimes its hell to drive and sometimes its pleasure...

lol, avoid visiting muzammal then. Only go for some small works that he can do in front of you. Why don't you visit Yasir who is just 2 kms away from Chohr Chowk?
there's another electrician i mentioned out above Shahzad in I-10. He's really a great man, I'm sure you'll be satisfied visiting him.

A am facing new issue, last night i drove back from peshawar on motorway and was about to reach home when suddenly gears were stuck, I mean shifting from higher to lower gears were just stuck, i.e 4th to 3rd or 2nd to 1st etc... what could be the issue

p.s. when i cold start my car there is like some noise which vanishes after the car is heat up a bit or when i press clutch and when mechanic checked he said transmission oil is thicker. So is it possible that its because transmission oil ??

Faizan brother, I'm not an expert but can i know how was the gear shifting earlier? I mean usually gears hard honay lagta hy, awaz deney lagta hy or stuck honay lagta hy, and at the end it stops working as it happened in your case. Secondly yes transmission oil etc ki waja se b problem ho sakti hy but wo oil change krwanay se theek ho jati hy. I will advise you to contact some chevy expert mechanic like yasir in RWP

ok thanks alot, i have changed the oil n used zic. but the gears are still a bit harder then before, they are working great now but harder then before.

n can u tell me where is this spring located. i mean can i check it my self. cause shamim mechanic is way too far from my home n i have to dedicate my whole day just to visit him

Sorry I'm Rawalpindi/Islamabad based and have no information about chevy mechanics in Lahore but i know there're many chevys in Lahore so there must be good mechanics and spare part shops as its bigger city for automobiles as compare to Rawalpindi/Islamabad i think. You can search here at pakwheels and I'm hopeful that you'll definitely find some helpful threads.

i have chevy 2008 model..

the car runs great with temp needle at around 40 - 50% most of the time n never exceeding and the water in bottle never dries not even a bit even if i dont check for a week.

the problem is, when i turn on AC, the needle doesn't goes beyond 50% but after sometime the car show signs of hiccups n one time even turned off n didn't turn on. when i checked, the water bottle was completely dry and super hot. I refilled it, wait for about 5 mins and car was good to go.

So what could be the problem here?? any suggestions?
is it the AC? Engine? the temp guage?

m totally confused
