City Aspire 1.3 MT Vs City Aspire 1.5 MT?

Dear Friends,

Need your advice in what should i choose between City aspire 1.5 and 1.3 MT.

Delivery time for 1.5 is much less i.e 1 month, where as delivery time for 1.3 is 3 to 4 months.
Price difference is also 20K so it is not much of an issue.
But i am not sure about the fuel consumption. Some says that there is not much of a difference may be 1 or 2 liters/Km. Need advice from 1st hand users of both.

P.S: I am not interested in A/T as the price difference is very much.

Always think about body to weight ratio, if this is perfect then you will get good ride and average,

1.5 for city is perfect,auto for comfort, manual for sportyness

for our traffic congestion, auto is perfect, i have 2016 1.5 auto, and it easily goes to 200 km soundless, and i dont think any wise would go above 120 or 130...that was jsut for fun...

if you are buying a car worth 20 lack, dont think so much about 1 to 2 litre saving....think about enjoying your drive for which you spent so much....

on 1st Feb I got delivery of my Aspire 1.5 MT and the guy at Honda Gateway said if you book a PT now the delivery will be in June or July. So I would say for PT delivery time is around 4 months at least

on 1st Feb I got delivery of my Aspire 1.5 MT and the guy at Honda Gateway said if you book a PT now the delivery will be in June or July. So I would say for PT delivery time is around 4 months at least

finally got my number plates. Drove my City Aspire 1.5 MT for the first time out of the house today. It was a great experience. I drove it around 70 km in Lahore on Saturday night (heavy traffic) with 6 people in car and here is how it performed

Pick/Acceleration : 10/10 (max speed 90)
Fuel average: 11 Km/l (i reset it before leaving home and it was constantly increasing till I got home, so I think it will get a lot better)
Comfort (Seats): 8/10
Comfort (Suspension): 6/10 a bit stiff
Road Clearance: Similar to Suzuki Baleno (with 6 people on board I drove over a lot of breakers and did not hit any one) 8/10
Breaks: 10/10
Blind Spots: none on the sides or back but can not see the bonnet at all (very difficult to park or turn into tight roads. 7/10

I will drive it a bit more tomorrow and will let you know about the millage.
If you are concerned with millage then go for 1.3 and if you want sportiness then 1.5. If you want comfort then city's ride is stiff and you might be better off with corolla but corolla is neither sporty nor fuel efficient. Best of luck with your decision.

I have driven it 300 kms and the meter is showing the millage of 13.2 km/L. I have driven it in Lahore and mostly during the heavy traffic (between 6:30pm and 10:00pm). Yesterday I went to the tyre shop to get the pressure checked and found out that the front tryre were at 50psi and rear were at 47psi because of that the car ride was very stiff. I had it lowered to 32 in front and 30 in rear. Now the ride is a bit more comfortable.

Yes exactly. I do plan on calling the dealer and even honda and have a word with them about it. When it comes to safety or protection there is nothing. Panels and bumpers are paper thin. If someone lean against it they will break of have a dent in them. not much protection in case of accident either. no air bags. This is what monopoly coupled with corrupt government officials does

Lack of government interest in industry has led to the situation which we are seeing now. Euro emission standards were enforced overnight so it's possible to enforce safety standards too if the government desires.

As far as selecting 1.3 or 1.5 M/T City, I would suggest 1.5 if you can afford it. I have a 1.3 M/T 2013 City & I'm very satisfied. Fuel economy, performance and comfort are all fine. For performance I just mash the accelerator and don't upshift . Would have gotten the 1.5 but didn't have the cash. Good luck in your decision.
