City IDSI buying guide

Salam

One of my friend is selling a 2003 Honda city IDsI. Car has 90k on odo and he's the second owner. There are minor scratches on the back otherwise the condition is good and cng is fitted as well in 2012. It has alloy wheels. He is saying the car is little bit showered from sides and thats normal for a 12 year old car. He is demanding 670000.

Is it the legit demand?

Which city ? Atleast in twin cities its hard to find a good idsi in this money

Around 1 month back myself n a friend was searching for the same model and could not find a single one which is GENUINE and GENUINELY INDER 1 LAC KM DRIVEN. please note we saq around 150 cars in wah, pindi, islamabad, Attock, pakwheels, olx. We were able to find only 3 cars which were in outstanding condition but more then a lac km...final prices were silver 2005 isb num 925k, shalimar rose 2003 was 850k and qhote 2003 was 870k.

Cars in the range of 7 to 7.5 lac were highly abused, tempered meter, repainted, engine changed, papers duplicate, weak engines, roughest interior and so on having multiple problems.we could not find a single city with company maintained verified log book/ mileage. Ended up in buying an average cond exi.

I have dropped the idea of going for city. Instead, I am looking for a Liana in the range of 700k to 750k. Will be able to find a newer car of 2011 model rather than getting a 12 years old city.

I have Honda city 2005 model , bought last year from first owner it was driven at that time 79000 , I showed it to 2 different mechanics and painters .. except bumpers everything was in stock condition, bought it for 950 , it's Islamabad registered. I preferred that one over 4 more cars which were newer in model but their engine/body paint conditions were telling different stories..
The point is car price also depends on its condition other than model number. And it's really hard to find clean car in market ...You need to do a lot of khawari in order to get clean used car in the budget of 10 lackh.

You can definitely get a Liana in that range. Its wrong of people to call it flop since owners themselves abuse the car and then blame the brand.
However, you should take care to inspect the car properly. Make sure there is no aftermarket CNG in it. CNG should be only the factory fitted PakSuzuki one.

Exactly...i have faced same situation...infact real IMMACULATE CONDITION car has same price which u have quoted but here ppl buy city idsi in 7 lac and say market main iss say saaf gari nai hai...what u can say to them?? Infact her kisi ka critaria aur hota hai immaculate kahnay ka...i read an add of city 2005 in which owner wrote outstanding condition, best in town etc , when i reached and inspected car, it was partly painted, AC was not working, front door was not opening, power windows of rear doors not working and axles were making wired noises. Tyres completely finished. Condition of car was speaking how rough it has been treated, I could not stop my self and asked whats outstanding in it? He replied masla kya hai gari main?..uffff...so i left.

I have driven 2004 City idsi on a long route. It was total petrol car, 1st owner, honda maintained...drive was good BUT i still say my Liana on cng drives much better than it...liana even on cng is a rocket...go for a good 2010+ vurv liana

You are absolutely right. Have heard bad reviews from almost everyone I discussed of buying a Liana but as I have driven it, the drive is quite good. The main problem I would be facing is of resale when I'll intend of selling it otherwise Liana is the best car in the price range of 750k.
