manual is tough to find. get a p2j-j63.
I know it is of CVT autiomatic but it works as good as the manual one.
You need to remove the rev limiter and adjust the IAC valve wiring as it has 3 wire IAC and manual has 2 wire
I also have the same setup and it works good.
J63 costs 5000 where as 003 goes upto 12000 if you somehow find it

hi everyone,

i need help regarding rear bushing in my civic 1997, mechanic is recommended to put bushes made with tyre by one shop as they last longer and cheaper in price should i consider it? last time i put all 16 bushes of RBI company only last one year in karachi's road condition.

Should i accept his recommendation or not ?

RBI bushes r a good choice in this car. It should not have lasted one year. Imo life of bushes depend greatly on a person’s driving style. Hows urs? Road condition khrab ho toe i would recommend slowing down to reduce wear n tear ( not just on the bushes but on every moving part in the car). If one drives the car like its from rent-a-car then no matter which bush u put in it will wear out prematurely.
On the other hand bro if u drive carefully n like its ur own car then maybe it was not original RBI. Or maybe the rubber was old and expired.

Bro do u spray diesel while washing car at service station then don't do it because it will wear the rubber parts faster

Bro i own this car since 2018 i drove it as my own because i am the one who maintains it so ultimately i put break while i see "kachi road" but problem is my route has all so called roads as i work in S.I.T.E area Karachi. last time when i visit mechanic he said the one who put bushes did wrong job that's why they wear out quickly. so what do u suggest should i go with RBI again or ty the Tyre option?

How did he installed the bushings? Did he preload the suspension before tighting the bushes? Or he tightened it in the air?

no idea, i left my car with him to finish and collect in the evening as he said it will take whole day.

Anyone help if this heat gauge is normal or not, as my mechanic said it is not normal, fan is direct now and with new radiator, coolant inside.

What should i do now ?

I don't think it's normal. This is where the needle should be if your fan is auto. If your fan is direct it should be lower in my opinion, but direct fan is not the proper way to set up your cooling system.

what am i supposed to do? radiator changed couple of months ago, head gasket change around year ago, radiator fan changed with kabli one, put coolant in radiator.

Try the car with auto fan. All the mechanics say that in summers make it direct, but that might be true for poor cooling systems only. Since you've changed everything else there shouldn't be a problem. Just make sure that your thermostat valve is working fine. Zabardasti fan auto kerwaein, keep an eye on your temperature needle to make sure that everything is fine.

if the gauge is not normal in direct fan so i guess it will go up if Auto fan as well, what should i do try changing all hose pipes ?

Drive the car on a long route e.g., motorway, during night hours or early morning (preferred) and observe the needle movement. These days (May 2022) as temperature is staying above than normal, therefore it may not be possible for the radiator fan to lower the temperature till the needle drops below the mid point. Kindly read the below given statement, carefully.

Coolant gauge temperature needle (especially in old Hondas) attains mid position (as in picture) when coolant temperature try to rise above 60~65° C and stays almost in the same position till temperature further rises above 100~105° C. The gauge enters kind of a buffer zone, and one can not notice variations in this temperature band with this gauge.
Best method is to directly read coolant temperature values from the ECU with the help of a scanner or install a separate aftermarket thermistor on the coolant line and attach a digital readout display, alternatively.

I am comparing this with my Khyber. My khyber had direct fan, but with direct fan needle used to sit near the bottom. I simply had thermostat valve checked and got the fan on auto. Didn't change anything else and my needle used to sit in the middle afterwards even if AC was on and I was stuck in traffic. I've owned a 97 civic as well, but the fan had always been auto so I am not really sure about the needle behavior with direct fan for 6th gen civic. But as suggested by shabbir you can test the behavior at night when it's relatively cooler or take a short trip on a less crowded road for 5-10 mins with auto fan and you should get an idea, after the trip let the car idle with AC on in the sun. Since the car won't be moving and there won't be enough air flow from the front to cool the radiator, the temp should rise if there is an issue with the cooling system on auto fan.
