Asalam u alikum
Recently i have bought the Civic exi manual 1500cc from our close friend of father, ghar ki gaari hai ese jese k aapky sapny ka bacha hai jo aapki nazroo bara howa ho just like this. Me and my father were love to keep honda but every third person was saying no to hondas because of high cost of maintenance but this time we bought civic 2003 manual 1500cc. Earlier i kept the Corolla 2009, 2010 cultus 2005,2007 and mehran but this time we choose civic 2003 because of love.
Now the 2 problems i am facing is the fuel consumption which is 6 to 7 km/per litre with AC 90% and on highway its around 11.5 to 12.5 with full ac speed range from mostly 80 to 100km but only on motorway i drove 100 to 120km. I always drive with light feet and under 3000rpm.
- And the second problem is that 5 person on board car's rear shocks are very soft it doesn't even bear single little bump it make noise like dhak dhak, but its all okay when i drive with only 2 or 3 persons, whats that issue are the shocks gone or the springs.
After buying i have recently done the following things for fuel consumption and suspension works are,
- Checked by scanner no codes
- PCV valve changed for my satisfaction
- Plugs changed
- Throttle body cleaned
- Air and oil filter changed
- Oil changed with 20w50 shell
- Suspension bushes and front left shock alsi it was leaking.
- CNG was removed after purchasing the car
- High octane 15 litre and petrol 24 litre poured while driving at highway but got 11 to 12km per litre only.
- After driving plugs are orange or rusty orange color which means its running perfect but no good mileage. No fuel leakage found from any where fuel filter also cleaned
- Tires are also stock 185/65/14 wheel caps no alloys.
Now what things should be done to achieve th good mileage and what are averages of these exi manuals.
I have read somewhere that there some sort of regulator or cicular switch to maintain any emissions or what dont know much about it.
