I think you should reconsider this comment.
The cars in my garage nowadays are: 1.8 Altis cruisetronic 2009, Civic VTi Oriel Prosmatec 2012, & Prado TX limited 1999. (MashaAllah)
The only thing about the corolla I like is how fast it is. Blows my civic in the dust, literally. (Only due to the tiptronic transmission. This transmission has much more inside of it than the + & - shifting. Its pretty interesting. You should google it when you get free time).
For the rest, the new civic is much better in each & every aspect as compared to the corolla in my experience of driving both

Altis cruisetronic or manual ? Coz cruisetronic has transmission from early 70's era where as steermatic has upto date tranny.

If u compare both manual transmission
Then one thing is for sure Altis 1.6 is really very smooth as compared to reborn
Steering is very very light
Gear shifting is also very soft n smooth Reborn manual is a bit hard

True my manual reborn shifting is very hard and 2nd to 3rd gear seems to stuck also the clutch is hard compared to corolla

Good one for early 70s trasmission era transmission. It is true , I have driven 1.6 cruisetronic ... it has got the most hossible transmissiin ever !!! Gear ratios are far too wide .... cant make use of full power of the car.

I drove both Civic 2010 & Corolla 2012.......
To be honest, civic at 150 kmph was pretty much under control and driver is comfortable without being frightened while corolla becomes "jahaaz" after 100 and it feels like it is going above air which is somehow a bit terrible!
But major issue with all civics is same, i.e ground clearance. In simple words, "thallay say ragri jati hai"...... Corolla is much better in ground clearance.
Ppl who say that corolla is very uncomfortable are unjust in my opinion.
Ppl say that corolla is used as a taxi, it is a + point bcz reliable and tough cars are used as taxis in foreign countries......
Go for corolla...... Most recommended car for Pakistan's conditions!

Bro if you will just compare the specifications then the honda lovers are going to kill cow lovers. And this is the justice also.

So pls tell your requirements what u want from a car beside using it for travelling. I mean how much can u afford the petrol. What about suspension. Your daily driving. And your prefered driving speed..?

AOA,

The person wants honest advise from car users. I presume he will not be using it for drag racing.

I have driven all the Civic's since 2006 (all 3-generations). I personally liked 2006, for its smooth ride and engine performance.

My 2006 Reborn had stiffer suspension which was not to my liking especially in the city with patches & pot holed roads, engine was silky smooth all the way.

My new 2012 Civic is a redefined Reborn, especially like the quite interior and the climate control.

I bought 2010 Altis 1.8 Cruisetronic for Cruise control & Tiptronic gearbox.

Altis is a class in its own, very smooth suspension, quite interior.

My sincere advise is that you drive both these cars before making any decision.

bro i mean to say tht i was comparing hondas bottom car i.e city with toyotas top of the line altis n steermatic beating !!!!!! now compare toyotas bottom line car with hondas top of the line what will be the results ??? u better now ....now i mean in pak honda is a class above then toyota (in pak) thts all

Bro then i will suggest you civic.

As toyota is a gud car. But on motor way after few months u will be bored. While with civic the smoothness, comfort and tension free drive even on 140-150. While on toyota at above 120 you have to be full concentrate on your car and car's steering.
This never means that it is only for motorway.

Brother in Altis 1.6L you will have a definitely better engine 1ZR FE which is greener and economical plus the 6 speeder gearbox.

I also like the interior and dashboard with wood.

You will also get a driver side airbag and alloy rims compare to non oriel civic reborn.

Plus u will also get a much better seat covers with partial leather and 6 speakers.

The only thing is that Civic 2011 manual would be cheaper than Altis Civic costs 16 lac and Altis 17 lacs.

So i think civic is only good for driving pleasure.
