Mashallah that's neat. Thanks for sharing the insights. Actually the only reason for not getting d15b was that they are showing signs of age now, and finding an a one in mint is rare. They go for the same price here in Faisalabad. D17A is also one of the most fuel efficient engines out there, with lean burn capability.
And the general practice and perception is that you have to modify the chassis, but I didn't have to make a single modification to the car chassis itself, we need to extend the Mount for the passenger side engine mount, which is just the mount itself. Secondly, the power steering pump b is up high on the d17a engine, for which normally what mechanics do is to accommodate its belt is to cut a part of body right next to passenger side headlight.
But my mechanic actually did a slight modification to the power steering pump bracket and we didn't have to cut anything there as well. That guy was actually a genius and tried to keep my car as genuine as possible, that's why we had to spend extra few days for the swap.
Other than that, a electrical fuel pump was installed which doesn't come in civic 92-95 as its a carby engine and has a mechanic pump.
All in all no modifications done on the chassis, even now if i want to drop in original b15 engine someday in this car, its a simple task.
